I am using the following to delete the contents of a cookie
Response.Cookies("maincookie").expires = DateAdd("d",-2,now)
Response.redirect "login.asp"
If i try to alert the value of the cookie in the same page, it shows
the old value. As well as when it is alerted from the login.asp it
shows the old value.
The problem is when i try to update the value of the cookie in the
login page, it does not update the new value.

I'm doing some trivial surveys, and I want to know if the same user
answers twice. Can't really know that, but at least I thought I could
check for the same browser/computer combination by using a cookie.
Here is the code I have now. In the header, I have the following:
<SCRIPT language="JavaScript">
var cookieStatus;
if (document.cookie.length > 0) {
cookieStatus = 'Cookie exists with value ' + document.cookie;
} else {

Hi,
I've been having problem writing a cookie. Everything goes ok but when I
supply the .Path property to "/" It just write the cookie when there is no
cookie present, but when I try to update the cookie (or overwrite the cookie)
it doesnt change it.
My requirement to supply the path to "/" because ASP.NET reads it. If I
write the cookie without supplying the path, the ASP.NET pages are unable to
read the cookie.

I am setting a cookie on a subdomain:
http://store1.mydomain.com
Then the store takes me to a shopping cart that is at:
http://shopping.mydomain.com
Somewhere the following code (taken and modified from The JavaScript Source)
is broken between domains, because when I click my "store" link that should
read the cookie and send me to store1.mydomain.com or storeN.mydomain.com I
get the default template store.

I'm having problems with cookies from asp.net to asp back to asp.net.
It seems like I can set a cookie in asp.net fine, and alter it at will, as
soon as asp touches it, asp.net won't have anything to do with it. Can
someone please help!
The code below, going from aspx to aspx, works great the cookie as expected
goes from qwerty to zxcvb and back. As soon as you hit the asp page, the
cookie goes to asdfg and stays there no matter how...

My google skills must be dwindling. I am trying to determine how in ASP.NET
2.0 I can get the ReturnUrl querystring variable in Forms Authentication to
contain the absolute url.
Just like others that have posed this question, we are an enterprise
environment that has multiple websites across multiple servers and we are
trying to setup Web SSO for our public internet site that will be accessible
by our clients.
ASP.NET seems to have...

Hi all...
Yesterday I asked about setting a cookie with an intially requested URL that
could be used later. I found the code to do it. For the code on the
login.html page I would like to tweak it to NOT be server specific. Here is
the code for the front end:
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=JavaScript>
if(document.URL != "https://test2k301/pkmslogin.form"){
document.cookie = ('Referrer_Page='+document.URL)+'; path=/';

Hi,
I've done some coding in my web application however right now for an unknown
reason my asp.net 2.0 site is not setting asp.net_sessionid cookie and as a
result, I am losing the session data in each page refresh or redirect.
I really do not have any coding against how the session works.
And I have not changed any setting in IIS.
I even compared the 2 code(old and new) bases and didn't see anything funny

Hi,
I am using the httpweblistener class to build a web server kinda functionality.
I have to send multiple set-cookie headers in a single response when queried for a particular request and i havent been able to find a way to do that.
I tried the cookie class and httpweblistenerresponse.addcookie() method but it still sends only a single set-cookie header.
I would like to send somethin like this:
Set-Cookie: AB=; domain=.example.com;...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
