Dynamic menu help

Hi ,
Trying to get a menu working for sometime now have wasted money on stupid
software etc.Now have been trying out a freebee from www.dynamicdrive.com,
but have one or two question. It's properly better if I was to show you it
so have uploaded it to with a couple of question.
http://teaup.port5.com/test/

This is where my problem starts how do I make the menu veawable over this
frame ?
Then the next problem is how would one make the link HOME open in the main
frame?

Cheers

Easy one first.
'Home' chnage the menu content file to be :- menu.addItem("h ome",
"HOME",null , "http://teaup.port5.com/", "mainFrame" );

think this will sort out the problem.

the first problem is a problem I have seen and not been able to fix myself.
This is because the window is being split up and the menu will now show over
the second window, it's like having one over the other, as the menu is part
of the top then it won't go over the main one. One way you could fix this
(perhaps, there may be alternatives to this route) is, if your host has ASP
then you could remove the frames, add the menu to the top and
'server.execute ' the page below it.
Now, I don't know how this would work on external urls, I'm not sure it
would work, but might be worth a try. BUt with frames, unless your frame is
bigger (to the length of the longest menu) it wil lalways be cut off.

I have found only one (free) menu that I could get to work nice with
frames, and that's the HVMenu from dynamic drive. You change a variable
to a 1 and put a div in your html file and poof, it works with frames.
That's the one I use on my intranet app that uses frames and it works
nice. Modifying the links is easy, too.

Note: I have nothing to do with HVMenu, I just love the script.

Hi all, I am currently developing a website for a voluntary organisation. It is my first step in website development. The dynamic menu I developed has some bugs, which I addressed in another post. In this post I want to ask you why my code behaves differently in IE, while it behaves like I expect in Mozilla and Opera. What I would like to see addressed is what I need to do to get the same behaviour in all 3 browsers. I know each browser...

I've created a dynamic drop down menu that populates itself with data from a MySQL table. What I would like to do is create a non dynamic drop down menu that alters what is shown in the dynamic menu. I am writing an application that requires the a portion of the main menu to be dynamic. The menu has file, panels, view files and help across the top. The view files sub menu needs to be dynamically generated, and the dynamic generation needs to occur right when the user selects this menu item (that is on the Popup event handler). However, everytime I put following code on the Popup event handler (of the View Files menuitem) to dynamically...

Hello, is there a way to menu control dynamically center itself horizontally on a page? I have placed a menu control in a panel control (no ajax) and would like it to center itself. Depending on whose logged in, the menu, or course, displays different items, sometimes just two items, other times many more. If all menu items are displaying, centering is not a problem but when only two items are displayed, the menu appears on the left hand...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
