Hi, I have this problem:
In my intranet I use a hidden frame that autorefresh every 30 seconds.
That page records a hit into SQL Server thats indicates to me the user
still on-line.
I use this:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="30">
Now I use this:
var limit="0:30"

I have a system where a user views info on a screen, then optionally
goes into other screens where the database is altered -- user the
returns to original screen.
The original screen is html/javascript - this calls ASP pages (no
.Net).
Problem is when the user changes the data in the database and return
to the original page that data should display the changes made.

Can someone tell me how I can get a page(any page) on the Internet to
refresh automatically every 5 minutes. I was thinking along the lines of
having a HTML file on my C-drive with JavaScript to do so. It should be
possible, Right?
I don't know much about JavaScript.
Thanks for the help.

Hi,
I know how can I cache the ASPX page or any control on this page.
But how can I refresh ASPX page automatically every xx seconds? Any script?
I need my application to go to the server and reload automatically some data
from the database. I can place some code to On_LOad, but I suppose that
there is more official and easy way to do the same.
Thanks,

Hi there.
I am using SmartNavigation="True" in one of my pages and it is working
except for one instance. If I hit the browser refresh, or a button on my
form smart nav works just fine. I also have the page auto refreshing every
60 seconds. When this is fired the page scrolls back to the top. Is there
anyway around this? Thanks for your help.

How can I automatically send another page to the users webbrowser (preferable
in c#)? So, somebody is looking at a webpage and after some processing at the
server, I want to show this user another page, without that the user have to
do a refresh.
I saw a page for getting a SSL-certificate. You get the page with the script
for the telephone confirmation. The company then give me a phone call. After
I've finished the phone the page is...

I am using the Microsoft.XMLHTTP object to make server requests ie;
ajax. This is working 99% of the time but occasionally it will freeze
at the server for 5 minutes and then raise a javascript exception
"Unknown name".
After the exception I can run the same request ok, and keep doing so
until the next time it freezes for 5 minutes.
What does the "Unknown name" javascript exception mean?

Hi guys,
I have a user who wants to have a report that shows only the 10th
value recorded by his equipment. (i.e. His equipment records
temperature every 30 seconds, but he only wants to view the data at
every 5 minutes.)
I proposed using the "mod" function in a WHERE statement on the
seconds "datepart" to test if each datapoint is an interval of 5
minutes from the starting number.

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
