Hi,
I'm trying to write a system thats used for about 50 clients that uses html
forms and php to log details. The problem is that when a client loads the
form page it's given a value which is the last record in a table +1 (i.e. so
its the next record). The problem with that is that a client could sit on
that page for 20 mins (or whatever length of time) and a different client
could use that record number and there what be an error...

Hi all,
i used JDOM to create XML file.
first, i get data from database and create Document object. in some data i
have quotas, so it makes replacment in content of elements. for example:
if i have "Hi" in database, i will have "Hi" in content of
element. And it is ok, because in xml does not exist ", at least i think
that.
After it i want to make convert from document to string. I used
XMLOutputter serializer = new...

I must confess I only come here when I have a problem - so my apologies
if this has been raised before:
Using my IE v.6 browser, document.write doesn't convert HTML entities
(e.g. ', &) to the appropriate character (though NS 6.2 works
fine).
Obviously I can get round this for particular entities by writing some
code to do the conversion before using document.write - but I need a
more general solution that will catch any of the...

to use ILAYERS for netscape 4.
You CAN NOT USE Layers and Form buttons in Netscape 4

Hi all,
I have a number of tables that I want 'timestamped' with both a
modified and created 'timestamp' field.
Ideally both fields should 'work if ignored' in insert and updates,
thus the following is fine for a modified timestamp field tsm:
tsm timestamp default current_timestamp on upate current_timestamp

I have some text lines to print that are much longer than the width of
the paper, maybe as much as 6 times. For a given page, I'd like
everything that doesn't fit to print on a second page, and whatever
doesn't fit there to go on a third page, etc, so that I can piece
together the final output by laying the pages side by side.
Things that don't work well:
1) Breaking up the line into sections of a given # of characters.
Problem with...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
