Hi,
I'm fairly new to c++. I need user input in the form of dollar
amounts, ie: "$10.00". I'd like to remove the dollar sign "$" then
store the rest in a variable. How do I go about removing the dollar
sign? Thanks in advance!

A user inputs a float value. The scanf() function gets the value.
However, I need to create an error handler with an if else statement
saying invalid input if the input is not a number. Does anybody know
how I could do this?

Hello,
I don't know when to use fields and when to used properties. It looks to
me that using properties is always better. But I guess fields must be
better in some cases, otherwise they wouldn't exist!
Thank you
Julien

This is a homework assignment.
The code works but does not "catch" all the improper input.
The requirement is to be able to accept one input currency, which is
error checked as a valid entry, and then display its equivalency in US
dollars.
The program does detect when a letter is entered as the 1st digit.
I need the program to detect when a number-letter combination is
entered (example 1a) and show the error.

I want to validate a number to so that they can only input $2.00, 5.00,
7.00, 50.00 etc... I don't wan them to be able to put cents on the
amount. It can either either be 2 or 2.00 Any ideas on how I can do
this? Thanks

hey I have this function that's supposed to be allowed to take in a number in a 0.00 format and transfer it into the same number but without the decimal point
void Money::Input(istream filename)
{
int dollars;
int cents;
filename >> dollars;
filename.get();
filename >> cents;
total=dollars*100+cents;

Are there any javascript codes there?
Answer: Yes
On the PageLoad event call InitialClientControsl as follows
/// <summary>
/// This will add client-side event handlers for most of the
form controls so

Hi all, am trying to show a dollar figure on my webpage, but defining
this for the cents value:
font-size: 80%;
vertical-align: super;
just isn't cutting it!
Is there a way to reduce the spacing before the decimal value, so I
canbring it closer to the dollar value?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
