hello,
when i create elements and want to assign events to them, i have
realised that if the function assigned to that element has no
parameters, then the parent node values can be attained.
e.g.
aTextBox=document.createElement('input');
aTextBox.onchange=calculateOneRow2;

My function works but there has got to be a way to make a for loop to
handle this...but I can't get a for loop to work. You can tell, I'm
not very good at this...help.
"myvalue" is the number of miles the person enters
"myitem" is the row...there are seven rows where they can list
expenses.
"myvalue" * .375 = amount to be reimbursed
All the rows are added and placed into the total.

Hello..
This page opens a window with some information, but everytime the user
changes a field in the parent window, the child window needs to be
closed.
These 2 functions were supposed to do the work.
Nota() - opens new window.
fechaNota() - closes the window opened by Nota()
here is the code.

I have been working for some time on a script that will show a matrix
with the elements aligned on the right for sometime and finally got it
to work. Then I did some patching up and ran the script and it showed a
blank page and no error in the status bar. The script is rather long
and I call functions that do things that I may not need the functiosn
for but they are there because I so that task so many times that I jsut
made it into a...

Please forgive, I have looked at so much info I can't figure out how to
put it together even though I know it must be fairly simple.
I have an array of input text boxes (txtDOBn) where n is created at
load. On the onchange event I want to calc the age and show in adjacent
input text boxes that are readonly and also arrays (an age calced for
each DOB entered). I was going to use the datediff function in vbscript
to do the calc.
Can...

Hi.
I have a problem with assigning an onkeypress-function to dynamically
created input-boxes.I want to put the content of an input-field into a
tag-list when the user hits enter. This works fine the first time (when
the input-field is created in a non-dynamical way). The next
input-field is created dynamically by a function that is called when
the user hits enter (the previously generated input-field will be
hidden). Then I'm trying...

Hi all,
Below is a basic threading program. The basic I idea is that I have a
function which needs to be run using a queue of data. Early on I
specified my function needed to only accept basic parameters ( no
postional *args or *kwargs ) but now I am re-writing it and I want to
accept these. Is there anyway to determine what parameters are needed
by a given function and format the arguments given appropriately. My
problem is that I...

According to
http://www.quirksmode.org/js/forms.html
you need to look through a radio button's members to find the value:
I tried writing a reusable function to return the value, see code at:
http://www.geocities.com/usenet_daughter/javascript_radio.htm
but for some reason I can only get a value if I hard code the control
name.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
