I'm relatively new to PHP, and have just converted a site from ASP to
PHP. There is one thing I haven't managed to do, though.
When the site was using ASP, I had one file (called variables.asp),
where I defined various variables that are used throughout the site. I
could then access all of these in any other file by simply including
that file (using #include), then referencing the variables.
I have been unable to do the same thing in...

I am working on creating an editable grid (for use in adding,
deleting, and editing rows back to an Oracle database). I have a JSP
that posts back to a servlet, which in turns posts to a WebLogic SFSB
and, from there, to the database.
On the front end, all cells appear as text fields. However, for
certain cells, when the user clicks on the cell, the text field turns
into a drop-down field (i.e. Select object), defaulting to the value...

Hello All,
Hope someone can help me on my required field problems.
I have a form base on a table for users to input new Employees. There
are 4 fields that cannot be Null when entering new records. (but on
the table, I have these 4 field set up as "Required = No"). I want the
codes to be able to check if the 4 fields are null, if is null, tell
the user to input the null field(s), after the user input the required
field, then ask if...

Hi
I seem to be getting nowhere with this. I am opening a form which will
be used to input Notes into different fields in a table. My problem is
changing the unbound field name to the field name in the associated table
that this form is based on.
Is there anyway I can do this with vba ? I am using a different button
object to open this form for the field it is to update.
button1 updates unbound field name from text1 to 101Commnets...

Hi,
I am trying to write a simple application to retrieve data from the
Windows registry and insert it into textboxs on a windows form.
So far I have one namespace containing two classess.
The first class handles the form generation - (this was done using GUI
form designer).

Hello,
I have a simple form with some input boxes. After validation if one
fails, then I would like to at the top of the page say something like
"The following fields in red are required" and then change the label in
front of the textbox or dropdown list to red... is this possible with
asp.net? It seems you can only put a RequiredFieldValidator on the
page, and if it fails validation then that text is displayed... ?
Thanks

I'd like to change the background color in fields on a form when the user has made an entry in them. I'm having trouble figuring out the correct way to refer to the background color of the elements that I want. I'm checking to see if the field has any content. If not, I want the background color of that field to be yellow; if it is filled in, then I want it to turn white. Here's my function:
function changeColor(field) {
if...

Using Access '97
Hi there, am wondering if there is a way to have a CLOSE button on the form and have it NOT CLOSE the form unless all the REQUIRED controls have an entry.
I have 3 items I would LOVE to find out about:
1 / I have created a button that I have attached to following code to and it seems to check the fields and it gives me a WARNING that a particular field needs to have an entry if something is missing. This is good, and it...

Access2000, using a continuous form.
I’m getting a message that say “you cannot add or change a record
because a related record is required in table Employee”.
This occurs in all my combobox fields that have referential integrity
linked to another table. I do not have the field in the table set as
required, and I do not want to require the entry. If the record is
filled out completely and added to the table, you can go back to the...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
