JavaScript photo gallery

MZ
Hi,
I am looking for a universal solution to create a photo gallery from files
which are laying in a folders fullsize and smallsize.
The smallsize files are the thumbnails of the fullsize JPG files.

And I have found a prety simple solution.
Please take a look at
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Interne...-Gallery.shtml
JavaScript gallery by Consoriana.

It enumerates the small thumbnail files put it into a table with hyperlinks
to the bigger files and gives you a nice gallery preview with next/previous
in each folder.
This is more or less what I am looking for and it works great!

However I need to modify it a bit.
Can you advise me what to use so I do not need to be dependent of the
file names?
I would like to store a different filenames in folders and I would like to
make it as universal as I can. Probably in need an array where I can
enumerate and store filenames from the current folder. Than I can use it as
a reference. Is it possible?

I think if we figure out a solution it can be usefull not only for me.
So any help apreciated!

BR

Check this:

http://www.MonksvillePhotographs.org

It's static HTML (tho it doesn't feel static) generated by a Perl
program.

You prepare a list of titles in a .csv file (I use the OO spreadsheet
to maintain my list and Save As ... .csv). Perl program writes
the .html. Even does its best to preload the next image, so no wait if
you don't look too fast. The Perl is slated for extinction (next
version will be in Python.) Would be nice if someone could get some
more use out of it.

Especially someone who skis and sails.

Hi! I'm searching for a Photo Gallery software package (like Coppermine and Gallery) that works, from the ground up, like a database-driven app. In other words, I want a gallery which entirely does away with the hierarchical structure of traditional gallery apps and allows the user to select, from a list of criteria, whatever photos he or she wishes to see. For example, each photo would have entries for photographer, category, date,...

I would like to do a photo gallery with a liquid layout. I wanted to center a caption below each photo (or above each photo). I can do that easily with tables, but then I don't have a liquid layout. Besides, I wanted to try to do it with CSS. I can do centered captions with text-align. This works provided the element containing each photo is floated left. I have found several examples of how to do this. However I didn't want the...

Hello everyone, Can anyone recommend a good online site to learn PHP? The W3Schools website is quite lacking - leaves much to be desired. I'm sure there are many places, but which ones are good? I currently run a site with an extensive photo gallery. Hundreds of photos. Right now I have a system which the thumbnails are laid out in a table. You click on a thumbnail and you see the full size picture. That full size picture is in its...

G'day everyone I'm looking for a simple photo gallery script in PHP (or Perl), but not too simple. I have tried several photo gallery scripts in either language and I have found that they are either too complex or too simple for my purpose. Most photo gallery scripts are intended primarily for sharing new photos continuously and allowing visitors to comment on them. I want something more static, which allows more text content.

Hi guys and ladies, I am having one major issue here. I have utilised a really neat javascript library from Orangoo Labs (http://orangoo.com/labs/GreyBox/), to create photo gallery for photos. Now, I am also using Spry, which makes use of a dataset, calling specific XML nodes by {name} for example. Now, the javascript code for the gallery is as follows: {'caption': 'Photo A', 'url':...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
