Hi i have the following problem and i am breaking my mind on it:
I have a mysql database with (id,title,topic,body) in the database i have
stored some documents.
How can i display a link with only the title of the document stored?(easy
one) but...
I want to view the whole document in the same page!

I have been struggling with a page that is based on a table structure
(because that is all I am feeling comfortable with at the moment) styled
with css.
One of the problems I run in to is Opera (Opera 7 in my case).
The weird thing is: viewing the page through Opera's eyes the first time
around is OK, but after refreshing, the page gets messed up badly.
I will look into the cause of the mess, but for now am really curious:

Folks,
I have a table of addresses and a seperate table with contact names -
All addresses tie to one or more names - I would like to keep track of
the number of names 'belonging' to an address and have thus included a
column in my address table called num_of_contacts. Everytime I add a
new contact, I would like to increment the num_of_contacts column in the
address table.
Is this possible?

Hello
In order to perform a hetrogeneous join (I think that's what they're called)
between MySQL and another database, I've created an Access database
containing linked tables from each datasource.
I create the linked tables without any problems, clicking on "save password"
before selecting the desired tables. I can then access both tables fine from
within the Access GUI.

I'm running MySQL 4.1.7-nt on my laptop, and I'm accessing it through ODBC
(MyODBC-3.51.10-x86-win-32bit).

I have a web page that displays information from a SQL database and
this information can change frequently. Basically, a database entry is
made into a table every time a person enters or leaves a defined area
and I need to display this information to a user watching a monitor.
Automatically refreshing the page is not a good option because it would
have to refresh no more than every 5 seconds and the screen flashes are

In an application I am writing the user can define a series of
steps to be followed. I save them in a sql database using the
field "order" (a smallint) as the primary key.
(there are in the range of 20 steps)
On the admin page the steps are listed, in "order" order and the
user can create new steps and assign an order and all is well.
The problem may come in using a renumber function which should

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
