Is there anyway to view what is written when using document.write?
When I view the source from the webbrowser, I don't see the code that
is written after the browser performs the document.write action.
Many thanks!

How do you get the height of the client browser in IE? Both
document.body.clientHeight and document.body.offsetHeight return the
height of the document. If the page is long and there's a vertical
scrollbar, you get the height of the entire document, screwing up any
chance of centering a window in the browser using these values.
Is there a way to get the height of the actual browser window and not
the entire page height?
Thanks.

Hi,
I'm building a tree control that lazily loads branches of the tree
using the document.load() method.
The external XML document that is loaded is generated by a servlet as
XHTML. What I would like to do is to add the new tree branch to the
correct place in the document in the browser window using the innerHTML
property of the parent node.

Is it possible to get the actual document size? Not the window size, but
the actual rendered document size, which in my case is bigger than the
window.
I am trying to set up a form entry system where the user scrolls by the
UP and DOWN keys. The idea is to keep as much context on the screen.
Say the form has 15 lines, and 7 are displayed. The user starts on line
1, at the top of the screen. The text on the screen stays fixed, until...

Hi all,
I am using documnet.body.scroll to disable the window scroll bar. This
works in IE only and not other browsers.
Can any one tell me if there is any such method which is cross browser
compatible.
Thanks,
sam

Hi,
I just tested all the browsers I have for support of
document.documentElement.scrollLeft to determine how many pixels the
window has been scrolled to the right. I'm trying to determine if I
really need to go to all the trouble of feature detection for determine
page scroll amount of if the old browsers are old enough now just to
ignore them.
Below are the OS-browser combinations that worked in my test.

Mozilla has

document.width
IE has scrollHeight/scrollWidth, depending on compatMode you will need
these properties of document.documentElement or document.body

The code below returns the viewport of the browser window but it does
not work in IE7 because of the document.documentElement.clientHeight:
function pageHeight(){
return window.innerHeight != null ? window.innerHeight :
document.documentElement
&& document.documentElement.clientHeight ?
document.documentElement.clientHeight : document.body != null?
document.body.clientHeight : null;
}

Other than Safari 2, what other browsers that support
document.clientHeight ?
I would guess some KHTML did.
I have found the feature, when it is present, to reliably provide the
height of the viewport, excluding scrollbars.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
