I'm encountering some wierd behavior with a <link> tag over an HTTPS
connection, vs. an HTTP connection...
In an ASP/HTML page on my website, I've add a <link rel="shortcut
icon"...> in order to allow the users to add a shortcut (with icon) on
their desktop, as well as seeing the icon in the URL. Our development
server allows both HTTP and HTTPS connections, but the icon only
appears to be available when requesting the page via HTTP???...

Hi all,
I am attempting to deploy a vb.net application. That is working fine.
I also configured the installer so shortcuts for the application
would appear on the desktop and the user program menu. That's working
too. What isn't working is the icon that I am setting for these

I have a program that opens a file if the file's icon is dragged and dropped
onto the text area. However, if I create a shortcut icon and drag it
instead, I am opening the shortcut file, not the original file. How can I
get from the fully qualified path name of the shortcut icon to the original
file?

I think I am losing my mind. I've got a simple application for which I
have a setup project to install the application. I create a shortcut to
the applications project in the user's desktop. When I go to install
the application it creates a shortcut to a shortcut instead of a
shortcut to the application. Has anyone else seen this before????

I use VS2005 to develop a setup project.
I have change the ICON of an desktop shortcut.
After the setup project install on a new computer, the new ICON display
correct on the desktop.
If the computer had install the old version of Setup project, after
re-install, the short cut remain use the old icon.

Hey guys,
So I created a setup project for my new app, but I don't know how to add a shortcut to the exe on the desktop. For now, I've created a link to the "Primary Output" of the project, but for some reason the icon it shows is a stack of papers, not the icon I have setup for the exe. The workaround I have in place is to create a shortcut manually after installing the project.
Am I missing something here?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
