  9.                                                             <td><a class="menuIzq"
  10.                                                                     href="#"
  11.                                                                     onclick="changeLink('estadosCuenta.do',
  12.                                                                                                   'dataInput',
  13.                                                                                                   'Consultar',
  14.                                                                                                   'ESTADO DE CUENTA-Consultar',
  15.                                                                                                   '1',
  16.                                                                                                   '1')"
  17.                                                                     >
  18.                                                                     Consultar
  19.                                                                 </a>
  20.                                                             </td>
  21.                                                         </tr>

Show the code for changeLink() and explain what it's supposed to do.

Yesterday, I decided to try Firefox. I've encountered a behavior that is either a bug in Firefox or a bug in my Javascript code. I'll try to explain the problem, hoping that this newsgroup can (in)validate my Javascript code. First, I'll describe the purpose of the Javascript code. I often have a need to post a URL to something at my own web site, e.g., http://www.standards.com/Sorting/SortPerformanceComparison-Description.html. It is...

Hi, I want to load an external javascript file, get its results and stick them inside a <div> block. I also want to do this in several places on a web page. This way the browser doesn't have to wait for the external resource to load to show up the page, thus giving a perceiving faster load time for the user.

Hi everybody Wonder if you could help me out. I created a simple JavaScript routine to enable a user to click backwards and forwards between small news articles. This routine works fine in IE and Safari, but in the latest FireFox I get no title or article, but do see the prev and next links and the article number. My HTML and JS simple routine is as follows:

I have a large table in html created dynamically. This table can grow to several hundred rows or more. I have the ability to hide or display individual rows (using row.style.display = "none") and this works well in both IE and Firefox. I would also like to do the same with columns as well. I did some research and col and colgroup nodes are not supported fully in both browsers. Also, doing "visibility: hidden" and sometimes "display:...

How can you make a div visible and hidden in safari? document.all.style.display = "none"; Does not appear to work. Also, can anyone tell me how to turn on javascript error commenting in Safari? Right now, if javascript fails or errors, the browser just sits there and doesn't return any error message.

I am having a problem with style properties for dynamic images in Mac OS X Safari. By dymanic images, I mean images allocated with the javascript 'new Image()' call. With static images (created with the html <img> tag), I can make the image visible or not, i.e. '<img style="visibility='hidden'" src='xxxx'/>'. But if I create the image dynamically with javascript: new Image() then try to modify the style, Safari chokes, and the Debug...

Hi, I have tried the following based on suggestions of the best way to insert JavaScript into a page. This is instead of using eval(). Unfortunately IE says "unexpected call to property or method access" for the second to last line of my function. If you know what I've done wrong or how to fix it I would appreciate the help.

I am storing String entries representing the innerHTML of a div that I will update at runtime. As a result, some of these string entries are actually loooking like: <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">

I use visual studio 2008 and am learning to use javascript. I am constructing a javascript heavy website and have tried using the visual studio tools as well as Firebug- an add on for Firefox which I highly recommend . These tools are a large step up from writing the code in a text editor and guessing through the use of message boxes what is going wrong. (* off topic extra info) QUESTION- Javascript that works perfectly well in IE...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
