Hi all,
I'm new to JavaScript, but am pretty sure what I want to accomplish is
not that difficult. I just need an example or suggestion to help
clarify it for me - I haven't had much time to learn JS, so I have
been using some prebuilt scripts where needed.
I have a Web page form where a user can enter data. The first step is
for them to select a dropdown menu to indicate the number of entries
they will be making (the dropdown menu...

My VB.NET web application has a textbox where the user is allowed to
enter up to 50 characters. I have a label on the form next to the
textbox that tells the user how many remaining characters he can
enter. This label needs to be refreshed on the fly each time the user
types a character into the text box.
Eventually, the user will click the SAVE button on the web form, and
the data he entered in the text box will be written to the...

In limiting textbox input to 500 characters I would like to include a
dynamic count of characters input while the user is typing into a textbox.
This would obviously be a client side control, possibly a custom validator
with a function written in javascript.
Has anyone done this? Does someone have an example?

I'm not real experienced with asp.net so this may be obvious.
I've got a situation where some of my client side javascript is causing my
posted form's controls to lose their values.
In other words, I have a server control TextBox, I enter some text, my
client side scripts do some stuff and in the Page_Load method after
submitting the form the value for my TextBox is empty.
If the javascipt doesn't run, the values are fine. I've looked...

Hi, I've been going crazy trying to figure out what's wrong with our
Asp.Net 2.0 intranet site.
At the very top of our main page I provide a TextBox and a Button for
submitting Google searches. Recently somebody pointed out to me that
you can't just press ENTER anymore after typing in the TextBox but
that you HAVE to click on the submit Button WITH THE MOUSE for it to
work. After some initial troubleshooting I discovered that it's only...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
