Google Data APIs and Prototype

Ubi
I am realising that Google Javascript APIs are becoming more and more
important, for many different reasons. One of them is definitely OpenSocial,
which will make Google Javascript API's become a standard even for writing
applications within social networks like MySpace.

Basically nowadays with Google APIs you can write any type of AJAX
application.

I was wondering if in this way the use for Javascripts libraris like
Prototype or JQuery will become useless, or if instead there will still be a
reason to use them.

You said "... Basically nowadays with Google APIs you can write any

No: Google has addressed a large market and picked off the easier
stuff. But there's plenty of other more complex and application-
specific stuff they don't touch.

Hang on to yr libraries.

Hi, I'm playing around with the python external for PureData. (pyext) I want to enable a patch to lookup something on the net. I modified the "search.py" example from Dive Into Python and kind of pasted it into the simple.py example from the pyext docs to be loaded in a pd patch. Loading the script in the patch works, and it receives messages and sends messages back, so I think on the pd side I've got it set up right. If I call my...

I want to take advantage of goolge results, but I don't know how. To extract the result from html of google can get the result, but it's not reliable and stable because the html structure my be changed any time. Does google supply some webservice to programmers? One of those weird shit is the ability to translate text from one language to another, which I figured I'd use google translate to do. Here is the section for translation that I'm having trouble with: elif(line=="translate"): #if user inputs translate text="" for i in range(abuindex+2, len(line)): #concantenate all

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
