I'm gonna describe the situation I'm dealing with..but if you're not
interested, just skip to the last line where I bluntly ask my question
:)
Here's my scenario: I've got a huge website that has many pages.
Each page has its own content (which changes often). So I wanna use
XSLT stylesheets to create these pages (so I can modify the appearance
of the whole site easily). So that's pretty straightforward: one XML
file per page, with a...

Hi,
Probably this question was asked before, but what is the algorithm to
generate all combinations based on N numbers?
For example, for 3 elements = {1,2,3}, I'd like to generate a list of
(2^n - NULL):
1, 2, 3
1, 2
2, 3

Hi
I'd like to use metaclasses to dynamically generate a class based on a
parameter to the objects init function.
For example:
class MetaThing(type):
def __init__(cls, name, bases, dict, extra_information):
super(MetaThing, cls).__init__(name, bases, dict)

I'm trying to write a java program to decrypt a string that was encrypted in .NET. I'm able to decrypt it fine if I hard code the key bytes and iv bytes but I want to avoid that. I would like to be able to generate them based off a password and salt. My .NET code does this using the PasswordDeriveBytes class. I've tried using the PBEKey classes in java but haven't had any luck matching what .NET generates. Has anybody else done something...

Hi,
I have an equipment booking form that a user is able to book a piece of equipment on a selected date and time. I have written code to prevent the user being able to book the piece of equipment if it has already been booked by a different user on the same date/time.
I want to display in a time grid format when that piece of equipment is booked. I currently have 16 green coloured boxes on my form each representing an hour's time...

Hi,
I have a table name ExpenseClaim where it has a field named RefNo to store the Primary ID for each record.
In my form, I has a combo box named cboExpenseCode: -
1) If user select "Company Reimbursed", then the prefix for the Primary ID is P-xxx
2) If user select "Project Reimbursed", then the prefix for the Primary ID is OF-xxx
xxx- represent the incremental id (e.g OF-001 , OF-002 / P-001, P-002) for the different expense code...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
