Hi,
Windows 2000 Server
IIS 5.0
These logins are via web site.
I have several folders where I need to log in.
I am also using
Request.ServerVariables("AUTH_USER")
in some of the files to further control security.

On a huge Sql-Server 7 installation, we have various client applications
distributed along the Lan, accessing one main database.
Each application accesses the db using one out of around ten logins. Most of
them, have only DBDataReader right on the db, as they are consultation
consolles only.
In order to monitor db usage, the customer requires some kind of log of user
access.

I am doing a complete backup on a sql 7 db and then doing a complete
restore (with overwrite existing db) on a sql 2000 server. This is now
our hot standby server. I have the process automated and it works
great. The only problem I have now is the logins dont work.
I have tried running EXEC sp_change_users_login 'Report', and the
logins appear.
However, when I run EXEC sp_helplogins 'joe', the results are empty.
So, I am guessing all...

I am not sure how to google this concept.
Basically, what I wanna do is to direct different users to different
pages. I do not have a whole lot users.
For example, if user name 'tomcat' logins successfully with the correct
password, I want to direct this guy to 'tomcat_page.aspx'. And if the
user name 'jerrymouse' logins successfully with the right password, I
want to direct him to 'jerrymouse_page.aspx'.

I have what I'd *like* to be a single web application (meaning, shares the
same Session object for a given user, etc.). But I'd like to configure it for
FormsAuthentication so that if the user goes into most of the directories
before he's authenticated, he'll go to one Login.aspx whereas if he goes for
the first time to, say, "/Admin/*", he gets a different Login.aspx page. Both
pages will end up authenticating the user the same way, but...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
