Hello, Apologies for the somewhat wordy and garbled subject as I couldn't think how to phrase it and this has hindered my searching for any previous answers. It could be a really simple question. Anyway... I have a simple javascript function that opens up a new window and writes HTML code in it to display an image (I don't just display the image because of problems with different margins in different browsers). Nothing exotic there. ...

Hi, I want to display the same image (from the same file) at different positions in a window. Up to now I used DIV command in the body part of the text, and document.getElementById in order to place it at the right place. But when I do that several times, only the last position is displayed. How to show all positions ? Thanks Yves

I have a client who would like to have several pictures associated with one system. I have read about storing only the pathname to save OLE overhead and have set-up a form for my client to browse/add one picture at a time to a system. Now he would like to 'view' all of the thumbnails associated with any system on a single form. I can setup a main/subform scenario, but how do I show all of the pictures as thumbnails. I was using the...

We have a situation where we display PDF files through IE via a method in our code-behind as follows protected void displayPDF(string exePath, string filePath { // exePath is the Request.CurrentExecutionPath and we trim off the actual ASPX page designation an // replace that with the "filePath" which represents the path and PDF that we want to display string fullPath = exePath.Substring(0, exePath.LastIndexOf('/')) fullPath += filePath...

Is there a way to display the file selection window for a file input field via JavaScript? My goal is to emulate the behavior seen in Yahoo! Mail BETA. When adding an attachment, it displays a file selection window when you click a custom button/icon. I saw an example of using CSS to actually position the browse button behind an image. I am hoping that isn't the only option.

This was posted before but the message got messed up (all NLs were stripped out for some reason). I have 2 labels that hold the name of different images on my .aspx page. <asp:Label ID="Logo" runat="server"/> <asp:Label ID="CompanyPicture" runat="server"/> I have 2 links that open the windows to preview these images. The previewed images are done on separate html pages that do nothing but display the

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
