I have connected to SQL Server database (server-side vbscript) and read some
data from the tables. This works correctly. I now have the data in an array
(server-side).
I have to draw a line-chart based on that data, for which purpose I need to
create client-side component (this works also perfectly).
PROBLEM: I cannot use the server-side array for drawing the chart.
Here's the code shortly:

I think this is the basic concept in ASP server-side development.
My boss told me web application is NOT client-server application. I argued
with him because browser is the client, and the server code put in server.
Then web application should be a client-server application. My understanding
is that a web application is an application that runs on a browser. But
client-server application is not necessary a web application.

I would like to generate non-modal popup windows from
ASP.Net code-behind. I have tried using Client Side
scripting like "function Test(){
window.open('test.htm',_blank,
'height=200,width=400,status=no,toolbar=no,
menubar=no,location=no resizable=no
scrollable=no');
but I can't seem to invoke the client side script from
within a Server Side Form. I know I can use the context
with to Response.redirect or Server.transfer to return a

Hello ,
I want your opinion about this .
In order to say it clearly , I think I have to describe it in long sentences .
I could consider myself as Intermediate/Advance Access Developer ;
Intermediate/Advanced Database designer .
Because of the requirements , I must create Web Application . Access Pages
is not suitable for that so I think about learning VB Net / ASP Net . I am

I just realized that the code I inherited is using all asp.net server
controls (ie. webform controls) and when I try to update textboxes on the
client side, I lose the new value of the textbox when submitting the form to
update the database. The server doesn't have the client side value any more.
It seems to me that as I begin to write the client side javacript code for
form validation and client side editing capabilities in order to save...

I guess the principal differences between client-side and server-side code
is that
client-side code is processed in web browser, and server-side code is
processed in web server. In ASP.NET web controls, since it has the attribute
runat="server", so the controls will be processed in web server?? Do you
think
the processing time will be slower than tradiational ASP applications??
I guess the fundamental question is when do we use...

I am having a really hard time trying to get some client side code hooked up
in VS2005, ASP 2.0.
The code is in an .inc file (vbscript). The first problem I am encountering
is the ASP.NET page doesn't like vbscript and throws fits about the syntax.
Second, the page throws fits about the server side code tags (<% ...
%>),...are these supported anymore? Third, when I set the onclick event of a
client side HTML button it does not recognize...

Hi,
I made an application in classic asp (reservation of books and video stuffs
for students) and want to migrate to asp.net.
The user has to chose a date, then pushung on a submit button. The whole day
is then displayed in cels of a table. The user has then to click in a cel
representing a hour of the day and an object (book ..), and finally click on
the submit button to insert that reservation in the database.
My problem is: there...

Hi Everyone,
I work for a financial company. I am planning to give a presentation
to rest of the development team (15 people) here on moving server side
logic to client-side javascript for an internal intranet application
rewrite. This approach will definitely stir up hot debate from
hardcore server-side Java folks who wants to do UI stuff even on the
server!. Since I am pretty much known as the JS or UI Guy of the
group, my Boss...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
