On two or three-column layouts, one column often has a list
of links. Scrolling the page hides them. I'm aware there's
supposed to be the ability to fix the column (frame-like).
I have some bits of such code but haven't yet made it
work well.
Question: Why have I never seen an example on the web?
Not that I've seen everything, but I've seen numerous pages

Hi !!
In a Continuous Form with say 10 records, I'd like to have 1 button
with an "UP" Arrow & another button with a "DOWN" arrow. By pressing
either the Up or the Down Arrow, I'd like the user to be able to MOVE
the records up or down the order.
Something like in a WinAmp or MusicMatch Playlist.
A little sample code would be much appreciated.

I have a list box with 7 text values in it.
I have a pair of buttons to Move Up or Move Down the selected item one
position.
What is the simplest way to code the buttons so the item moves one position?

I'm working on a video player app, and I want to implement a trackbar
that behaves like the one in Media Player, that is the cursor position
moves to where the user clicked instead of moving in that direction by
a fixed value. Has anyone implemented something like this before? I
haven't found anything on codeproject, or searching the .NET
newsgroups. This seems like it would be a common control type, am I
missing the easy solution?
I...

X-posted to opera.page-authoring, because this is a bit Opera-specific for
the moment. F'up to ciwas.
I am playing around with dedicated styling for the projection media type..
Currently the only browser to support it is Opera, which uses projection
when in full-screen mode.
On a website I maintain (http://www.jules-verne.nl/), I have set up some
special styles for projection. Not that this specific website really needs
it, but...

Hi can anyone please help?
I have a need to make a table of fixed size, containing three rows, where the middle row auto expands to fill the remaining space between the top and bottom rows.
Here is what I have so far, unfortunately using height:100% for the middle row blows the size of the table!

Hi,
My research on this NG hasn't produced a satisfactory answer. Here's
what I want to do:
move two div (s) (each has an image tag within) to another location on
the same page.
// no problem with that
// prior to move, position = fixed;
// at each move, I capture the new top value

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
