Hello all!
I am a seasoned programmer, but not really with Javascript. I have a strange phenomenon going on that for the life of me I cannot figure out what is wrong.
I am calling a javascript function from perl. (I am using cgi.pm). I created a HTML button, and I am calling the javascript with the "onClick" property. Like this:
Perl: -onClick=>"myFun ction($a, $b)"
Java: function myFunction(myA, myB) { stuff...}
I can pass $a, but when I try to pass both $a and $b, the function won't run. If I change $b to a literal, like 'hello' it works fine.
This is so bizarre to me that I can't pass more than one variable from Perl into the Javascript. But I can pass multiple literals.
Is anyone familiar with this?

This may be a dumb question but can you tranfer variables stored in a PHP
page on one server to a page on a different server via a form POST and be
able to access those variables on the new page using Perl? From my
understanding of HTTP I can't see why this should be a problem but it does
not seem to work at the moment although I am sure it is not a scripting
error at this stage
(Any newbie-level explanations welcomed!!)

I am trying to write a Perlscript to be used with some HTML pages. Here is
how it works:
1.. The first HTML page has a form which requests for user input. Then it
passes the QUERY_STRING to a Perl script.
2.. The Perl script will then validate the data. If input validation
fails, it returns to the previous screen and asks the user to retry. If the
validation passes, it display the user input and asks for confirmation.
