Hello,
I don't know if my question is out of topic...so I apologize if I am.
I use the coppermine picture gallery for my web (actually I want to use it
but the server doesn't seem to have GD running but I will beg them to
activate it). How can I actually find out if GD is installed? I tried to use
phpinfo() and I searched for a GD entry, but no one was there, so can I be
sure, that GD isn't installed? (Because the admins of the...

I have compiled some code, some written by me, some compiled from
various sources online, and basically i've got a very simple flat file
photo gallery. An upload form, to upload the photos and give them a
caption, storing the caption and filename in a text file. It's a bit
buggy when removing the photos and captions from the file, and also in
displaying them on the delete page. you can see it in action at

I'm sure the question has been asked (and answered before!), but I can't
find an example of what I want to do.
The page I mentioned shows a thumbnail gallery with the thumb horizontally
and vertically centered in a square div. The largest dimension (width or
height) of each thumb is 120 pixels.
Page validates as XHTML Strict with CSS2 and (hence?) is displayed correctly
by Firefox, but --...

I would like to do a photo gallery with a liquid layout.
I wanted to center a caption below each photo (or above each photo).
I can do that easily with tables, but then I don't have a liquid layout.
Besides, I wanted to try to do it with CSS. I can do centered captions
with text-align. This works provided the element containing each photo
is floated left. I have found several examples of how to do this.
However I didn't want the...

Hi there,
I'm trying to query a MySQL database (containing image data) and to output
the results in a HTML table of 3 columns wide (and however many rows it
takes) in order to create a basic thumbnail gallery.
I can query and output the data as a single column table, but I'm having
problems filling up a 3 column table (with different images, looping
continuously until the end).

I have a cgi program which outputs a fairly hefty amount of
html/javascript for doing a complex slide show sorta thing in a variety
of areas in the browser. I accomplish this by creating a series of
iframes and populating each iframe which its own copy of the code and a
list of items to display. It previously had it working tickety-boo
with both IE 6 and Firefox. I've had to concentrate on adding new
features to the IE side and am now...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
