I have a routine that displays 60 items (with thumbnails) per page.
You can click any item and displays a new page with item details. When
the user back pages it runs the query again to display all the items.
Is there a way to cache that page and images so that second query
doesn't execute?
I do offer a pop-up window using Java but is not the default and not
used by many. I'd really like to get rid of that second query. ;)
TIA

I have a 10mb ASP file, which will not load in IE 6.0. I
get an HTTP 500 error. When I convert the 10mb file to
HTML, it loads fine. Is there a limitation on file size?
If so, is there a tag I can place at the top of the page
to override the size limitation?
Thanks.

I can't open the web hosting link on the visual studio start page,
it keeps returning: "This feature requires that you have connected to the
internet
previously or are currently online". I disabeled all firewalls and set no
proxy
in internet explorer. I use Visual studio 2002.

I'm having an issue with the "Refresh" of an asp.net page. The refresh is
actually calling my last onClick event. I thought that asp.net was supposed
to be stateless in that it shouldn't remember that I clicked a button before
the refresh. Here is what is going on:
1) Page Loads
2) User enters some values, clicks the "Save" button
3) The onClick event handler for the save button saves the data to the
database and the page is...

I create an ASP.Net page and put a button on there. I run the project and
clik the button twice. If I then try to hit the back button on my browser I
get a "The page cannot be displayed" error. Does anyone else get this? Is
there a way to fix this? It's making another app I wrote look pretty crappy
whenever the user hits the back button and gets that error.

Hello. First of all, I'm working in an ASP.NET 1.1 project, which has a
large page (due to client requirements, a huge page is needed to process the
information, and it has a lot of interactivity with the user, so that if
some value changes, the screen refresh showing some other data, or a grid,
and so on). This is working well (but slow, but this is not the problem
right now).
The problem is that, randomly, opening the page, or refreshing...

Hi,
I have been experiencing an issue when trying to use AJAX to reload a DIV area
using a timer of 2000ms, which contains a html page with another DIV and javascript.
Scenario
-------------
I have perl script which simply runs a ps on a Solaris server and generates
a static html page with all of the code perfectly and this html page works fine
when viewing it statically or with a META REFRESH header tag. The idea is to give the user...

One of my ASP's was working fine for a long time. Now it has started
constantly refreshing itself. Everytime I run it I just get the first part
of the page, then it refreshes itself, the rest of the page doesn't get
displatyed, and this goes on continuously.
The main sympton is that the select box thats being populated gets a
different number of rows loaded into it each time. And the last row that
gets loaded is always truncated. Its...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
