I have the following problem:
I need a simple, tabular layout in a webshop.
- left column: navigation column with approx. 170px width
- right column: content area
the goal: the left column should contain a few "boxes" (these are HTML-
tables) which should be all of the same width.
So, I attributed the left column with 'width="170"' and assigned the
attribute 'width="100%"' to all contained <table>s. This should

I have googled for this issue, and many other people have the same problem
with no resolution. The data grid column sizes automatically resize based
on their contents no matter what the Style.Width is set to. I was looking
at the HTML output, and the values I entered for Width does not even get
generated.
And to make things worse, even though I set the width of the Grid to 100%,
it actually expands beyond the edge of the screen forcing...

Need some help trying to read values from web controls - specifically
*finding* the controls (like a drop down list) - that are added

I use a three column layout, where the right and left columns are 150px
wide and floated. The center column is not floated, with margins 150px
on each side to place it between the other two.
I use padding: bigval; and margin: -bigval; (together with overflow:
hidden; on the container) to make the three columns look equally long.

this might sound stupid, but I got a really nice homepage template
which unfortunately is a 3-Column Fixed Width CSS format. Now I don't
have any content for the right column and would like the middle column
just to use up that space instead.
Any way this is possible?
