Hi,
I am new to the c-programming language and at the moment I am
struggling with the following:
I want to read a file using fread() and then put it in to memory. I
want to use a (singel) linked list to continousely (dynamically) free
up more memory when needed and put the buffers with the data of the
file on a sort of stack.
The problem is that i have no idea how to do this.

Hello fellow code junkies,
I am using the "Ajax dynamic list" http://dhtmlgoodies.com/index.html?whichScript=ajax-dynamic-list and i think its the best out there. I have found a compatibility issue maybe one of you can help me out on.
In this html i use a text field to collect info. when a user types, *ajax_showOptions()* shows the option perfectly. once an item is selected and i move from the field, *makeRequest()*, my set variable to...

Hi.
This is just a disaster management question.
I am using XMLHTTP for the dynamic loading of content in a very
crucial area of my web site. Same as an IFrame, but using XMLHTTP and
a DIV. I got the core of the javascript from here:
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/ajaxcontent.htm
I noticed in the demo that sometimes the content takes a long

Hi everyone. this is my first post here, but i've found quite a bit of great information from reading the forums in the past.
i'm not sure if what i'm trying to do is possible or not, but here it is:
i'm creating a dynamic list of checkboxes, basically to allow access to client information on a user by user basis. i use ajax to bring back a full list of clients, then loop through the list and create a checkbox for each client to...

Hello,
I was wondering if the following scenario can be done using plain
Javascript or AJAX. We have an input text box within a form. As soon
as the user starts typing in character into that text box possible
options dynamically appear below that text box so that the user can
simply select an option rather than typing the rest of the data. For
example, in gmail as soon as you start typing in characters into the

Hi,
Further to my earlier post about using dynamic usercontrols (which I have
still yet to solve), I have another problem.
I am creating the UC in the page by LoadControl. The page itself has a
submit button that is inside an AJAX UpdatePanel.
When I submit the page, the contents of the text boxes of the UC don't

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
