How can I programatically invoke the onChange event?

1 New Member
I am using a popup calendar to populate an input field. When the contents of this field change I need the onChange event to fire so that I can perform further updates. The onChange event "onChange=myFun ction()" will fire if I manually type the date into the field but not if I populate the field using javascript! Note that I am using AJAX and so do not 'Post' back and reload my page.

How can I programatically invoke the onChange event?

I want to be able to programatically click on the center of an <INPUT type=image ...> element (I only care about IE 5.5+). This should work regardless of whether IE has focus. Normally you would do myDomElement.click and the mouse doesn't matter, but in the case of an input image element, what happens is the submitted url has something like "?x=12&y=7" appended to it (the numbers vary per mouse position on the clicked element). If you hit...

I want to change the event handler for a form field, using JS code. But there doesn't seem to be a way to reference it. MyForm.SomeField.onChange is undefined. Anyone know if there's a way to do this? -- Alan Little Phorm PHP Form Processor http://www.phorm.com/

In JavaScripts checks for an onChange event against the value of the textbox at the time of the last onChange event. Since an onChange Event never fired after you changed the text first time , suppose we put the same value in the text box then no event is fired. If we put some other value then it became fired... It wouldn't fire if we put the same value... I don't want to use onBlur etc... Isthere any solution with onChange Event...?

Hello, I've been looking on the web for a solution to this problem: I create a set of checkboxes, and 2 buttons: - one is labeled "All" - the other is labeled "None" Clicking "All" is supposed to check all the checkboxes, which it does (that's not rocket science ;), but the 'onchange' event does not get triggered.

Hi all. I have following problem: 1. In my web page I have a GridView control, which does not have a DataSourceId set in designer. 2. When user presses Start button then I create programatically a dataSet, set it as a DataSource for my GridView an add it to Session. 3. I want my users to be able to edit data displayed in GridView, so I added Edit command column. 4. When user clicks Edit, then I get the following error: "The GridView

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
