I am new to CSS and would like to know if there is a way to make this happen with CSS: image1 and image 2 are laid out at the top of the page. when the mouse hovers over image1, a paragragh or so of formatted text appears below, when the mouse leaves the image, the text disappears; when the mouse hovers over image2, a different body of text appears in

I choose 'Entry 4' and click then on the button 'Set' to set the index to 'Entry 2'. If you press now the cursor down key 'Entry 5' instead of 'Entry 3' shows up with Mozilla Firefox. With Internet Explorer and Opera it works fine; 'Entry 3' shows up. Is this a bug within Mozilla Firefox or do I have any possibility to change this wrong behavior? Stefan ========================

This seems like it should be an easy task, but I just can't find the info on it. MSDN2 shows an example where the cursor is changed to the system default Cursors::Hand, but not how to make a custom one from a bitmap. I have in memory a 16x16 bitmap. I want to make that the mouse cursor image over a Panel I have. Now, I know this part: panel->Cursor = gcnew_cursor ;

I have an image scrolling in a viewport for a panoramic image viewer. The viewport can be resized to several set resolutions so people can adjust the size according to their bandwidth. There are hotspots on the image which have been defined using an image map. This map is generated in javascript using the following code (in the object 'tour.'): makeImageMap: function() { // creates an HTML nodeset which is an imagemap for the current...

I have attempted to use the CSS techniques from two or three sites to create a CSS only image gallery. I am muddling the affair by placing the thumbnails in one float, the page text in another float, then using absolute positioning (and z-index) to display the image over the second float. The CSS for the thumbnails is from "Web Accessibility At C-net.us" by K Chayka (http://accessat.c-net.us/test/gallery2.html). The CSS to display the...

I have a javascript timer on my page that counts to 10. Every half second it alternates images on my buttons from a lighter image to a darker image, giving the appearance of the buttons blinking. The problem is, when my Internet Explorer options are set to Check for newer versions of the page: Every visit to the page, IE will download those same 2 images every single time from the server. That's 20 downloads in 10 seconds for 2 images....

Hello, I am new to this website so I hope I'm doing this correctly.... Some of the pages on my website are image galleries, and when you roll your cursor over a small image icon, a full-sized version of the actual image shows up to the right. However, I am unable to view some of the small image icons in Internet Explorer; they show up as tiny empty squares. The strange thing is that I can see the icons perfectly in Firefox. Here is an...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
