Personally I have put at least 1000 characters in an alert before with a couple of breaks. I don't know what the max is, but a 1000 characters is more than enough for any message I would provide or any question I would ask. It might be 1024, for some reason that sticks in my head.

Hope it helps

If it does get that large, you're much better off just displaying on screen using a div.

Hi, I am building a webbased application for the office, and have full control over the webserver and the clientcomputers (with IE6). I want to prevent that the employees use Alt-F4 to close IE6. I can do that with the onbeforeUnload, but unfortunately I always get this messagebox: Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? <my message>

When JavaScript writes out a dialogue box (like when confirm() is called) the header or title of that dialogue box shows up as "JavaScript Application"... Can this title be changed so that maybe you could stick the name of your application in it?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
