Yes, this is possible using DHTML.

For a start, see on this page what is possible. A bit more advanced than what you're looking for, but you get the idea.

Post again if you have any more queries.

I'm having problems trying to sort a series of authors who post online using Movable Type. I've tried posting my problem to the Movable Type support group, but no one has even answered my question. So either it can't be done, or no one cares to respond. In any case, as some of you might know, Movable Type is a PHP developed site, so I'm hoping that there might be an answer using stricly PHP and not MT's tools. Below is my original...

I am trying to create something like this: Response.Write "<a href=""javascript:openWindow('www.domain.com/events/EventDetails.asp?EventID=" & rsEvents("OccID") & "','Today','status=yes,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=500,height=500')"">" I know there is something wrong with the above, the example I drew from used "/dsn/wwwdomaincom" and I don't know what to do with "dsn" so I am trying to figure out how to make it work without it.

I've been running some small test programs which seem to indicate something noticed in a larger script, that a function called from onLoad() in the <body> tag will not succeed in creating a window (i.e. successfully executing window.open() in Mozilla 1.5; however, I've observed it to work a few times in IE 6.0 and Opera 5.something. It does not seem to be a timing thing -- if I re-call the function somewhat later using setTimeout it still...

It's finally happened, `Movable Python <http://www.voidspace.org.uk/python/movpy/>`_ is finally released. Versions for Python 2.3 & 2.4 are available from `The Movable Python Shop <http://voidspace.tradebit.com/groups.php>`_. The cost is £5 per distribution, payment by PayPal. £1 from every distribution goes to support the development of `SPE <http://pythonide.stani.be/>`_, the Python IDE.

Using javascript closures to create singletons to ensure the survival of a reference to an HTML block when removeChild() may remove the last reference to the block and thus destory the block is what I'm hoping to achieve. I've never before had to use Javascript closures, but now I do, so I'm making an effort to understand them. I've been giving this essay a re-read: http://jibbering.com/faq/faq_notes/closures.html

I figured I would post my solution to the following. Resizable column tables. Search and replace values in a table. (IE only) Scrollable tables. Sortable tables. It is based on a lot examples I found on the web. Works in IE and mozilla. http://www.imaputz.com/cssStuff/bigFourVersion.html

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
