Hi!
I am making an option, which opens a small window with a picture in it
and data about it.
I just want a JS script, which will get the picture size, and then set
the window accordingly?

The trickiest part is to get the real picture size across different
UAs.
Untested by myself claimed to be working by poster:

For window be aware that both popup and resizing are considered as so-
called "common annoyances" so can by blocked - either one or both - on
your visitors.

For getting data, it seems to work.
But how do I set the size?

hi. I want to code a 'preview' function into a guestbook entry page. I can
do it with a button that posts, bringing up a whole new page showing a
preview of what has been entered, and then the user could hit a 'return to
entry form' button or some-such and go back to the form.
But what I want to do instead is just use an HTML link with some javascript
to grab the form's textarea value, and open another browser window that uses
a php file...

Please forgive the simplicy of this question. I have the following code
which attempts to determine the color of some text and set other text
to match that color. It works fine in Firefox, but does nothing in IE.
I'd be greatful for any assistance. Also, if I will have problems the
code on Opera or Safari, I'd appreciate any pointers--I don't have a
Mac to test Safari.
THanks very much,
Michael

Setting: chruch multimedia computer and projection system, with 2 display
monitors. The projector is connected to monitor #2.
Is there some way using JavaScript I can display a ".jpg" picture on display
#2? I know how to send the <form> tag to turn on/off the projector, but
don't know how to put up a picture. I don't want any browser artifacts to
show. Just the picture.
Thanks,
Don

Hi,
I'm a C++-Programmer and want to subclass the Edit used to write a
SQL-Query in Access. The edit is of the special Access class OKttbx.
Everything works, I injected a DLL into the Access-Process and the
subclassing works but I can't get the Windowtext of the control...I
tried the WM_GETTEXT message but it seems that Microsoft uses another
way to get the text the user typed in.
Has somebody an idea how I can get this to work?

Hi there everyone,
I have a part info form which has a faded image of our company logo as a
background.
I want to replace the faded image with a bright red warning image on items
which have run out of purchasing cover.
I am nearly there, the only problem is that the code below only changes the
image background for text and combo-box backgrounds, it doesn't apply it to
the whole form.

I am attempting to create an app that will run "on top" of another app.
My app will create a transparent window over the other app for the
purpose of displaying information.
I am able to create my transparent app but cannot get the size and
position of the other app. I can get the handle of the other app using
the DllImport("user32")...FindWindow method. However, when I try to
get this size/position of this other window using...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
