Distinguish intranet from internet requests

Hi,
I've noticed that IE have different security approach when loading a
page from an inner intranet or when loading a page from the web.

Is there a way in Javascript to know when your page is running by an
outsider and when by an insider?
How the browser knows?

Thanks!!!

According to the w3c specs a web page is not valid if the DOCTYPE declaration is missing. So, if I add the following doctype to my pages they will be "compliant": <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> But is this relevant to INTRANET sites where users might not have INTERNET access? How does the page get validated against the http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd DTD if the users...

We want to use allready written C sharp programs for our asp.net applications. The idea is that we write a program ONCE and use this same EXACT logic for our internet apps. Everything will run on the same server but we will have two types of clients 1. web based, 2. intranet based. Is this possible? If so, what is it called in Microsoft speak? How to links would be appreciated. -- cheers, nuutuudnet

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
