Because if you search in Google for "javascript trim", the first five
results are junky. The group FAQ shows up on page five of the results.
The FAQ is not search engine optimized. Second, I updated the
backward-compatible functions to trim actual whitespace. Third, I put a
form where you can test the functions. To invent a better wheel? :)
Don't sweat Randy. Look at his other posts to other people.
He's good at being critical and appointing himself the USENET Police - but
damned short on actual help.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
