Hi,
Is it possible for an AJAX request to be left open for multiple
responses? This could avoid repetitive polling of the server.
Thanks,
Peter

I have a rather old script that uses XMLHttpRequest to retrieve some
html and pops it into a div using innerHTML. I'd like to switch over to
using append child since not only is it standardized, but it'll save me
bandwidth in the long run.
The html returned looks something like:
----
<div style="position:absolute; z-index:50; width:256px; height:256px;
top:0px; left:0px">'.$tilesOverlay.'</div>
<div style="position:absolute;...

controlsPlease could some of you here post some of your live examples of AJAX
(esp drag panels, collapsable panels, and popup menu.)
(It's one thing to talk about how great something is, but it's another to
really see how great something is.)
Thanks

Hi,
I have been experiencing an issue when trying to use AJAX to reload a DIV area
using a timer of 2000ms, which contains a html page with another DIV and javascript.
Scenario
-------------
I have perl script which simply runs a ps on a Solaris server and generates
a static html page with all of the code perfectly and this html page works fine
when viewing it statically or with a META REFRESH header tag. The idea is to give the user...

Hello,
When trying to run my ASP.NET website with AJAX 3.5 ToolKit on IE6 I am
receiving the JavaScript error "Object expected". When using IE7 there are no
problems running my website.
Is there any configuration for AJAX 3.5 that I need to implement so it will
work on IE6?

Hi,
I am having my first real attempt at an ajax class as so far Ive
managed to build one that, once instatiated, will allow me to define
which function it will call on completion then retrieves the contents
from a server side script as AJAX generally does and process it using
that function. This far Im quite pleased with it, however, I really
want something that will allow me to perform multiple AJAX calls from
the same script. I...

Hi all,
I've inherited a site and am currently looking to redesign a page that
displays a table of course curriculum, with each row representing a
"Topic" of the curriculum. There is a courseID that exists throughout
the site, identifying each course.
Within each row of the aforementioned table, there are 4 columns,
consisting of MainTopics, their associated SubTopics, uploaded
LectureNotes for that MainTopic, and finally a DeleteRow...

While I have done a substantial amount of ASP.NET programming, I have only
dabbled with AJAX (update panels and a 3rd party JSON setup - jayrock - that
directly updates the DOM). In any case, I'm considering offering Web pages
both to browsers that support AJAX and to those that do not support AJAX.
Questions:
1. In general, should I look to offer two versions of each page - one for
AJAX clients and the other for "non AJAX-supporting"...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
