I have a requirement to put a GDI style circle or rectangle border around
the selected row of a datagrid/ It will overlap into the row above and below
the selected row. Doing this in a the OnPaint of a subclassed
DataGridTextBoxColum dos not seem like a practical way to do it.
I have subclassed a DataGrid and overridden the OnPaint as such:

In my Winforms app I'm trying to get an image's background to appear
transparent on a form that has a gradient background. So I added a
PictureBox and then attempted to add a custom paint command for the
PictureBox. But it's not working. Here's the code I've written:
public void InitializeLinearGradients()
{
this.Paint += new PaintEventHandler(PaintClient);
this.SizeChanged += new EventHandler(SizeClient);
pictureLogo.Paint += new...

Can someone point me to an example or post some code on how to allow a user
to draw a rectangle on top of an image and retrieve the coordinates and
dimensions of it. They will also need to be able to move it around on the
picture and delete it.
Thanks

Hello all:
I am using PIL to draw a rectangle filled with color blue.
Is there anyway I could set the fill pattern so that the drawn
rectangle could be filled with
gradient blue?
Thank you

I have a situation where I'm getting in Image that has a gray (solid, same
color) background with a smaller white rectangle inside. The position is
not always the same. What I need to do is locate the postion and determine
the size fo the white rectangle and then crop the image to leave only the
white rectangle remaining.
I'm very new to GDI+ and have really no idea where to start. Can anyone
suggest a good way to accomplish this?

Hi,
If previous post was missing, here's the complete one:
I'm trying to draw a rectange on a picturebox image using mouse move
event but the problem is that the rectangle selection / drawing cannot
be done from starting from bottom-right to up-left. The only selection
i'm allowed to do is starting from top-left towards bottom-right
orientation.
The code is:

I have a panel that contains a label and a picturebox. When clicked, I
want to draw a rectangle over everything. I can draw the rect and set
the color, no big deal. The problem is because I have to pass the rect
of the panel, it draws on that, and under the other controls. How can
I force it to draw OVER everything else? Ideally this would also be
trackable since the whole thing(panel and children) will be dragable.
This is what i've got...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
