Please take a look at and run the code snippet shown below.
It creates a canvas with vertical & Horizontal scroll-bars.
If you shrink the window to smaller than the area of the canvas, the
scroll-bars work as advertised. That's great.
However, if you click the Left Mouse button, it calls code which
expands the width of the canvas by 100 pixels. The area being viewed
expands correspondingly..... BUT I DON'T WANT IT TO!!

I have what is now a table with a header row and then obviously rows of data
beneath. If the data is more than 50 or 6 rows (100px) then the rows will
scroll using overflow:auto. This all works great, but I have alignment
issues with the columns. I can get things to line up in either case (with
scrolling or without scrolling) but not in both. Currently, I am using
Tables to align everything and giving each row a % width. I would love...

Has anybody heard or figured out a way to make a DIV with overflow: scroll
to look the same in IE and Firefox
in IE i have one table splitted in two, the bottom part is the scrolling
(Set to a height of 100%), it displays properly..
But firefox hardly produce the scrollbars on that division, and instead
makes the whole page to scroll. I know there is some incompatibility between
the two browsers as far as following the CSS standards,...

When I set the Size property on the VB.NET form properties pane to a
size of 800, 1200 the 1200 always resets back to 1036? Why is that?
When I open a child form in the MDI parent the only way the MDI
displays scroll bars if if the child form is not maximized and is
moved over the edge of the MDI. Is there a way to turn those scroll
bars on when the child form is maximized?

I posted a question earlier about getting scrolling TBODY elements without
horizontal scroll bars. This is what I am looking at:
http://hume.realisticpolitics.com/testcase.html
FF1.5 shows what I want except for the scrolling horizontally.
I have looked at this in IE6 and it is completely off the mark! First it
seems to be setting the HEIGHTs of the table cells incorrectly, bizarrely.
Then I remember that it cannot handle negative...

Hello,
Here's what I'd like to have in a form that I'm creating: A picture
box that contains an image that is significantly larger than the box.
I'd like for there to be scroll bars, but also to enable the user to
click and drag the image directly, with the scroll bars updating to
reflect which section of the image is shown on the screen.
I've created a panel and set it to AutoScroll, and put a PictureBox
into it. When the scroll...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
