Hi all, I hope someone is able to help me out with a small problem with this
page: http://www.superhighstreet.com/Georg...nd/index.shtml
I have a small iframe (mid-right) with an embedded audio player.
<embed src="slideshow/streetsound.mp3 "
width="75" height="25"
autostart="true "
loop="true">
Nothing fancy, however with that in there, the page seems to load twice in
IE. It fetches the SSI header, then clears it, then loads the rest of the
page 'behind the scenes', then finally displays it.
If I remove the embed, it loads the page bit by bit and you can start
reading before the rest of the page is done, which is what is desired for
obvious reasons.
Any idea why embed causes this? Works fine in FF etc.

Thanks,
Me

Don't know "why" but it does that here. Also, the "loop" parameter here
does not work on Mozilla-based browsers (SeaMonkey and Firefox). the
..mp3 file plays once and stops. Not sure why.

I have a 10mb ASP file, which will not load in IE 6.0. I
get an HTTP 500 error. When I convert the 10mb file to
HTML, it loads fine. Is there a limitation on file size?
If so, is there a tag I can place at the top of the page
to override the size limitation?
Thanks.

Hello all
I'm building a suite of free php applications to create virtual worlds.
My problem is i can't get my file to refresh. Can this be done with
javascript?
I would like to have the display and the form be on a single
page..unless this can be done with frames.
The sample application contains 2 files:
a)The php file (with input controls and the embedded world)
b)The embedded world (text file)

In the asp.net pages below, Common.vb has an overridable Page_Load sub. In
the consuming page, Two.aspx, the Page_Load sub is inherited, but for some
reason it (Overrides Sub Page_Load) executes twice.
In another "regular" asp.net page that inherits only from its own codebehind
page, the page load only executes once as you'd expect.
Any ideas why the page_load fires twice in the former example?
Thanks,

So, the logical layout for control 2 was this:

I have a page that receives a session variable from the default.aspx.
On Page load, the code in Page load gets executed twice. So far, no
problem. It sets the session variable each time, correctly.
However, when I click on a menu item in that page, it then executes the
same page load twice, before transferring control (via a
response.redirect) to the new page. On the first pass through the page
load of the menu page, the session...

Hi, i have inherited a page from another user. The page is the target frame
in a frameset. for some reason the whole page runs twice (page_load, init,
etc. all run twice)
I can't figure out how this is happening. there are no transfers or
redirects that are occurring in the pages. the page runs thru all of its
events then starts all over again. Trying to inspect the stack track doesn't
help because when i get to the init the 2nd time,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
