Below you'll find the code i'm working on.
It's in a button click routine and hangs after 3 or 4 sometimes 5 loops
done, probably in sock.receive(....).
Some code was found here( on google i mean) but the amazing( at least for
me) is that if i run the program step by step or i cancel the loop and run
it by pressing the button again and again it never hangs .
I want to have an infinite loop so my socket keeps on listening until i...

I'm attempting to create a simple treeview-like behavior in JavaScript.
The desired behavior happens in IE but I cannot get the same to happen
in FireFox.
The primary thing I want to accomplish is to set the id and href of
some objects dynamically during the onload of the page instead of
hard-coding it in the HTML. I want to set the id/href so when I add new
entries I don't have to remember to increment the id's.
In FireFox, the href...

Hello,
I'm trying to get a popup to keep focus when it is re-clicked.
The script below is supposed to produce this exact behaviour,
however it doesn't work, at least on firefox 1.0.7 and moz 1.7.12
(linux kubuntu). It does work with konqueror.
It seems to work with firefox on windows but not with IE (not completly
sure though).

Hello,
I have a somewhat strange problem. The firefox browser on a mac (tested
1.5.0.4) hangs after the third or fourth call in a session. This
happens both with cookies enabled and by passing the session via links.
It seems that this happens while starting the session, after commenting
session_start() out, firefox behaves just fine. A recent 2.0 is also
reported to have the same problem.
Under Linux everything works just fine,...

Hi all,
I have a consistent test case where os.popen3() hangs in Windows. The
system hangs when retrieving the lines from the child process stdout.
I know there were several reports related to os.popen3() hanging under
Windows in this group before.
I stumbled on a case where a piece of code works in some occasions and
hangs consistently given different data. It performs exactly the same
on 3 different computers running Windows:

I need serious help - I have a frontend/backend Access database (2 MDE Files)
that remains stuck in task manager after exiting the application - you can't
reopen database after exiting as a result - I have read every post out there
and spent hours trying to figure out the problem with no success whatsoever -
I have constrained the problem to one form however, and I think it's hiding
somewhere in my code associated with this form, which is...

I have 2 FireFox (version 2) browser windows opened.
One is the child of the other.
When the user is finished with the child window, a method in the parent window is called to refresh a section of the page.
This is the JavaScript code that I'm using to refresh the content in the parent page:

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
