I have form/select which executes a function using onchange. No
problem. However, when I validate the page with a strict HTML 4.01
doctype at http://validator.w3.org, it demands either an action or a
method for the form?.
If I give it an empty action <form action="" ..... it validates OK. Is
this acceptable or is there a better/standards correct way?
Thanks.

Good morning,
Is there a good way to use JavaScript to send a form submission, but get
back the response as a string, rather than loading it into a page? I
could write the code to send the submission via XMLHttpRequest, but that
seems hard... especially implementing multipart-encoded form submission
such as required for file upload.
Ideas?

Hi. I want people to enter specific information on my website - most
likely in a form. (i.e. their name, address, etc). I then want that
information to be emailed to me. Is there a way to do this using just
html code?
I generally use Frontpage to create web pages. But here is what the
help said, "Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions must be installed on
the server on which your web site is located." Unforutnately, I don't
have...

Hello.
I'm working on an email form on Dreamweaver and I'm looking for a PHP code to make it work. The form with some required fields would send the submitted information and two image attachments to my email address.
I just started looking at PHP two weeks ago for an answer and the only code that worked for me, so far, was a simple php email form:
<html>
<head></head>
<body>
<?
if(isset($submit)) {

Nowadays, most websites make use of CAPTCHA to prevent automated Form
submission. Can someone please give me examples of how automated Form
submission can be achieved?
It's not that I intend to do some nefarious activities; rather I don't
understand how can automated Form submission be done other than the
website developer coding it (for e.g. using JavaScript to
automatically post a Form, say, after 2 minutes).
Thanks,

I am trying to append the results from a form to a text file. My code is supposed to print out the results on one page, and append the results to another page each time data is entered on the form and the submit button is hit. Unfortunately, it is only printing out the message acknowledging the submit button--no data on either form. Here is the code below, please help if you can.
PHP code that reads the form submission:
<?php
function...

I've spent the last few minutes searching for this question and I
found an answer, but it wasn't quite what the client wanted.
I have a simple online form where the user needs to fill out five
fields out of nine. The other four are already there and filled out
for the user. When they hit submit, all data is sent to us.
But, if they desire (for whatever reason) the user can possibly delete
what is already there and fill in something...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
