Find the Top Left xy of an <IFRAME>

I have an IFrame:

<IFRAME id="BIssues" title="issues" src="BIssues.as px"
frameBorder="no "style="positio n:absolute;widt h:100%;height:
150px;border:0p x">

In this iframe I have onmouseover that opens a floating text. The
issue that comes into play is that the mouse position is relative to
the iframe and displays the floating text using the same coordinates
except on the parent window. Is there a way I can find the top and
left coordinates of the iframe so I can add them to the coordinates
when I display the floating text? The java script is contained in the
IFrame.

I tried the following and the browser does not like this:

x=x+parent.docu ment.getElement ById('BIssues') .style.left;
y=x+parent.docu ment.getElement ById('BIssues') .style.top;

Any help is greatly appreciated.

A number of cases must be considered to get accurate results.

Using the lib at http://www.javascripttoolbox.com/lib/objectposition/ will
do it all for you.

hi guys, i was wondering if you could help me with a small problem. i need to have an <iframe> to behave like a <div>, in such a manner that: 1) the <iframe> should have its own display space, indicated by the "display: block;" style. 2) the <iframe> should resize automatically to display its contents. 3) the <iframe> should not have any border, or a small thin border if necessary.

I have had great success with using <iframe> with overflow-y set to auto. I can get a similar look with the <iframe> tag. BUT... In all cases I need to have fixed heights. Is there a way to put either tag inside an HTML <TD> and have the same kind of scrolling effect. This would allow me to fill the screen and have the size of the scrolling box change on resize. Thanks in advance.

When I'm trying to do this using Page.Parent I get null exception :( Here's a piece of code //master.aspx

hello everyone :) I am trying to make a page which would take a "entered" on search query from the previous page and display results in google with that query in an <iframe> in the results.htm page. So if I enter the word "watches" into a textbox, the google search results would be displayed in an <iframe> in the results.htm page for the word "watches" with something like http://www.google.com/search?q= for "textValue". I have did set...

I was using an <iframe> to load a website within my .aspx page. When the user "logged out", I called a javascript break out function to breakout of the frame and load the appropriate page when logging out. This worked perfectly on my end, but the website being loaded in the iframe was not functioning properly because it was being loaded within a frame. I then tried using the <object> to load the website within my .aspx page, and the website...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
