Netscape 7.02 is giving me a headache with a downloaded snow script.
Starting with a blank page, I inserted the script and checked it in IE
6 and Netscape 7.02. Everything worked and looked fine. A check on CPU
usage (Windows Task Manager>Performance) gave a 0% to 2% reading for
both browsers on a Pentium 4, 3.06GHz running XP.
As I added text, images, tiled background and so on. I noticed the
mouse was becoming jerky in Netscape 7....

I want to read an image from disk, get the total width,
and then find the bottom region (say an area of 120 high
x the total width) and fade-away each pixel by a
percentage to white, and then output that memory-modified
image to the HTTP stream.
Where should I look for info or samples on doing that?
Thanks.

Hi,
I am writing a class in JavaScript to cause a repeating fade effect.
The fade class takes care of the fading and the rgb class takes care of
manipulating rgb values:
function rgb(red, green, blue) {
// private variable initialization
this.red = red;
this.green = green;

Hello :-),
I am not sure if I am in the right forum so please forgive me if I err.
My Ops is XPPro, SP2 installed, IE6 and Outlook Express6, Office 2002.
I am using ready made scripts in htm format and I am getting script errors.
I cannot view the script in IE6, Front Page or Outlook. It keeps asking me if I want to debug. I have no idea on how to debug!
When I post the work I have done to a group, (I fly blind), my fellow members...

I have been attempting to solve this problem for a few weeks now, but I'm not having much luck...
I would like to create a seamless fading effect on each form/window in my program; one that, when an image is clicked with a mouse and held, the window fades away by approximately 50% transparency, and when the mouse button is released, fades back to opaque.
I have been able to do this to an extent, with the SetLayeredWindowAttributes...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
