Need to detect page state - loading - loaded - etc ???

I need to detect if page loaded or not with a script (in a child
frame). The IE has a special readyState function, is there anything
similar for Mozila browsers?

Is there a work around?

Thank you.

Yeah - just use the onload() event on that frame to tell you when the page
is loaded:

<iframe id="frm" src="http://www.google.com/" onload="isLoade d();"></iframe>

that'll tell you when the page has loaded.

Hello, Apologies for the somewhat wordy and garbled subject as I couldn't think how to phrase it and this has hindered my searching for any previous answers. It could be a really simple question. Anyway... I have a simple javascript function that opens up a new window and writes HTML code in it to display an image (I don't just display the image because of problems with different margins in different browsers). Nothing exotic there. ...

Hi, I am writing a small, automated webapp-test-machine in javascript. It shall work with something like Mozilla/Netscape - IE is not a choice. In this context it is necessary to detect when a page finished loading - without having access to that foreign page and - without being in a parent-frame of that page I have consulted this group as well as other sources,

To truly persist the state of a web page for reentry as if one had never left the page, one must save the querystring values, request.form data, and of course the viewstate. I would like to know why Microsoft has not placed this support natively into Asp.Net but instead I must resort to a hack? See article at www.thecodeproject.com/useritems/PersistentStatePage.asp for details. When will such support be forthcoming?

I have a problem where using innerHTML to rewrite a DIV or removeChild to kill a DIV that either of them, if excuted before the page is done loading will stop the page in its tracks. removeChild: http://www.jsonline.com/preview/richmedia6.asp The innerHTML rewrite acts the same way. If you click "close ad" in the upper right corner before the page has loaded completely then the page will stop loading and elements could be missing.

I realize that his question has been asked, in many other forms, many times in this group. Even so, my tired eyes have not yet found a sufficient answer, so I've decided to "reask" it even though I'm sure this will offend some of the more seasoned verterans of this board. The Players: Consider a simple web form, which I'll call Page A, that has a couple of controls on it. It's not important what they are, only that they're static...

Hi everyone Actually I'm not sure if I have to post this question in PHP forum. I have a page (download page) which contains a link but I want the link to be invisible until the page is fully loaded. The reason is that if the link apears at the begining then the user will click on it to download the file and then close the window before banners are loaded and it would not be counted as a page view on google adsense. So I need to have an...

I know this can be done with JavaScript, but can PHP detect when a page finishes loading? Once it has confirmed the page is loaded, it would execute an event. What about detecting when an image has finished loading? Is that possible? Thanks in advance.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
