I have an iframe inside of a parent page. How do I call the onChange
function in the parent page from the ddlProfileNames dropdown in the
iframe page?
Thanks.
code in parent page:
<SCRIPT>
function ordering(sorder )
{
// first, hide all the divs
for ( var d = 1; d <= 16; ++d )
document.getEle mentById("DIV"+ d).style.displa y = "none";
// then, find where the first DIV is going to go:
var node = document.getEle mentById("HERE" );
var x = 0;
var y = 0;
while ( node != null )
{
x += node.offsetLeft ;
y += node.offsetTop;
node = node.offsetPare nt;
}
var ord = sorder.split(", ");
for ( var o = 0; o < ord.length; ++o )
{
var dv = document.getEle mentById(ord[o]);
dv.style.left = x;
dv.style.top = y;
dv.style.displa y = "block";
y += dv.scrollHeight + 8; // 8 to account for 4px border
}
}
// start things off:
ordering("Div1, Div2,Div3,Div4, Div5,Div6,Div7, Div8,Div9,Div10 ,Div11,Div12,Di v13,Div14,Div15 ,Div16");
</SCRIPT>
code in iframe:
<FORM name="frmProfil eNames">
<SELECT class="smalltex t" id="ddlProfileN ames"
onChange="order ing(this.option s[this.selectedIn dex].value);">
<option value="value1"> value1</option>

I have an ASP application that calls a COM function to create a custom
report as an Excel file. This works in a synchronous fashion, as long as
the report does not take too long to create. If that happens, the session
times out and we run into other kinds of problems.
I have, in other cases, executed a stored procedure asynchronously (thanks
to a tip from this group) thru ADO.
I'm wondering if ASP provides some way of executing a...

I am developing an HTML javascript application and I want to preserve
state in a way that can be book-marked. I chose HTML anchors as a means
of preserving state. When the application changes state, the HTML page
URL would change from default.html to default.html#stateA.
example: http://pearstudios.com/javascript/locationHashAndFlash.html
This has worked perfectly within HTML and javascript alone, however,
when connecting Flash and...

I have been successfully calling DLL's using VC++ 6.0 and also using VC++7.1
(.NET). I only mention this because I have never felt comfortable with the
process, but nonetheless it did work. Recently I started calling an unmanaged
DLL from a .NET app. It worked fine. Now I have the situation where I am
trying to call a function in one DLL from another DLL. Both are unmanaged and
are built with VC++7.1. In the calling DLL I set the property...

I'm running into an Invalid Cast Exception on an ASP.NET application that runs fine in my
development environment (Win2K server running IIS 5) and a test environment (also Win2K server
running IIS 5), but fails on IIS 6 running on a Win2003 server.
The web uses Pages derived from a custom class I wrote (which itself derives from Page) to provide
some common functionality. The Page_Load handler the failing webpage starts out like this:

My problem: I need to call (from C code) an arbitrary C library
function, but I don't know until runtime what the function name is,
how many parameters are required, and what the parameters are. I can
use dlopen/whatever to convert the function name into a pointer to
that function, but actually calling it, with the right number of
parameters, isn't easy.
As far as I can see, there are only two solutions:
1) This one is portable. If...

Hello PHP Group,
I have a php page that calls another php page to load a image from a
database (mysql) in to the calling page.
It works like this:
first_view.php has
<img src="image.php?img=5" width="200" border="1" alt="Image of

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
