Hi I have designed my website to fit my standard windows. I use a javascript scroller that nescitates the removal of the browser scroll bars. However if a user has an extra toolbar open in his browser like a google or yahoo toolbar or a links toolbar it pushes the content down and slightly out of view. I don't want to use a pop up window with toolbars=0 as this is often blocked by software. What I would like is to open the...

Hi, client wants for a window with no toolbars to open (technical and 'esthetical' reasons) after the window, user clicks on, is being closed. I told them about security settings in browsers and no cross-browsers solutions and all of that we know, but they have told me they have seen that before and how then the annoying pop-up windows work? . . .

Does anyone know how to replace <a href="url" target="_blank"> with window.open, keeping the window settings the same, i.e. same size, same toolbars, etc. I've tried document.open, and window.target, but nothing I do seems to open in a new window. Cheers, Rob.

Hey there... I'm having some problems passing url parameters with an open.window command. I'm not terribly familiar with java script but here is the code below. When executed it opens the window properly but does not pass the parameter. (this is part of a coldfusion template) <a href="##"

I cant seem to find a straight answer on the following. I want to programmatically hide all menus except a basic custom report menu (during report preview) and right click pop-up A-Z sorting on datasheets (for subforms). I would like to do this on startup of the application. To be clear:

I want to display photos and when the user clicks on one the photo gets displayed in its own window. This is what I"m currently using. <A id="picAnchor" target="_blank" href="../Photos/somePic.jpg"><img src='../Photos/ etc... </A> It works great - as expected the photo shows up in a new browser window. The thing is that I want the photo to show up in its own window - but to have the new window's size conform to the size of the image...

Hey everyone:) We have a critical problem, which I can see that other people also has ran into. In Internet Explorer 7 it is no longer possible to do a window.close after opening a window, without getting a alert message that ask if u want to close the window. This did NOT happen in Internet Explorer 6, Mozilla firefox or other browsers.

I want page <URL:http://www.merlyn.demon.co.uk/js-quick.htmto open, in IE6, IE7, Firefox 2, and wherever else practicable, with the control labelled F.X0 fully visible at the top of the window and the control F.Result (which is just under the textarea) fully visible at the bottom of the window. What's the right, or best, way to do that? It's right in IE6 at present, and near enough so in FF2 if there's only a single tab. But the "tab...

Hi all, Sorry if this has been covered before, but is there anyway that one could remove menubars/toolbars from an existing browser window, without having to popup a new window using window.open(), and supplying the feature string? Thanks for any input/replies! Jason

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
