I have PHPDEV 4.2.3 from Firepages.com.au as the upgrade to 4.3.0 did
not work. I also had an abortive download from PHP.NET as I could not
configure Apache myself.
The REAL problem is that PHPmyAdmin works and sees my test database
Wines....
But my PHP program does not!

I've always been bothered about having to statically declare the size of
a Java applet window (container?) in the calling HTML. I've always
wanted the moral equivalent of width=50% statement (of the window or
frame). I'm trying to use Javascript to do so.

Hello all...
In my code below, the Notify Constructor and Destructor is getting
called twice and it appears that a new Notify object is created on the
2nd call. The 2nd call is caused by this line below: pNotify = new
EMAILnotify; that lives in the Notification Constructor.
One theory is that the Notify base class is not completely constructed
prior to using it in the Notification Constructor code: pNotify = new
EMAILnotify;

Please forgive the simplicy of this question. I have the following code
which attempts to determine the color of some text and set other text
to match that color. It works fine in Firefox, but does nothing in IE.
I'd be greatful for any assistance. Also, if I will have problems the
code on Opera or Safari, I'd appreciate any pointers--I don't have a
Mac to test Safari.

I'm looking for a way to detect the background color of my internal webpage
through a stylesheet. And so far, the only solution I find is to open the
styles.css file and parse the BACKGROUND-COLOR field. The problem I'm
having is that I don't know the exact absolute path of the stylesheet file
(styles.css) to access it using stream reader. I have tried to use the
"Path.GetFullPath" method of the system.IO to get the absolute path...

I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed
using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to
/usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be
"E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file
are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located
at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
