Hi there
I have the following code on a site that works as it should but I'd like to
understand how it works (a luxury I realise :).
I use it to change the colour of buttons on a menu when a mouse goes on and
off them as well as pre loading the 2nd images used to show the new button
colours.
It all looks incredibly complicated and try as I might to work it out I

I'm looking for javascript code that when I mouse over a menu item will
display a picture elsewhere on the page. I know it exists, but the ones
I've found so far just swap out the menu item in place.
Even better would be one where I can swap the menu image and display an
image elsewhere on the page.
Many thanks!

I have a custom webcontrol that displays a menu bar consisting of a
table with images. Each image as a link. The parts are made of Web
controls, not straight html. I need to write a Javascript that will do
an image swap on the mouse over event, but I cannot figure out how to
get to the parts. I've named them with an Id, but they don't seem
reachable by that.

Hi,
Ok so on a given page I have 4 text links:
see it in black
see it in blue
see it in red
see it in green
using the standard swap image behavior, clicking on one of the above links

I am having a problem with style properties for dynamic images in Mac OS X
Safari. By dymanic images, I mean images allocated with the javascript 'new
Image()' call.
With static images (created with the html <img> tag), I can make the image
visible or not, i.e. '<img style="visibility='hidden'" src='xxxx'/>'. But if
I create the image dynamically with javascript: new Image() then try to
modify the style, Safari chokes, and the Debug...

Hello out there,
I know that I can replace an image with another using e.g.
onMouseOver="swapIn(...)"
and
onMouseOut="swapOut(...)"
Is there anything I can do if Javascript is disabled?
- I guess I could use 'noscript' to provide a link which opens an
external window to display the second image'
- any other possibilty?

I am using foldoutmenu 3 and am having problems with viewing my menus
in firefox. On my sub3 menus i have more than one line of text in some
places. firefox does not recognise that there is more than one line
and the text simply overlaps the sub-menus below it. I thought i had
got around this by placing empty 'spacers' like so;
oFoldMenu.make('sub3','')//spacer
unfortunately, i have just viewed the site in IExplorer and it has
added...

Hi All! I'm new to javascript and need a little help with a simple puzzle im trying to design. I wanted to make a "swap puzzle" where the user clicks on one image then the other and they swap. Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
