I have a page that I don't want anyone to be able to link directly to. The
page should only be accessed from gatepage.php. I tried this code, but keep
getting errors - "header info already sent", or something like that... Am I
missing something, or is there a better way to do this?
<?php
$ref = $_SERVER;
//echo $ref;
if ( $ref == 'http://www.mydomain.com/gatepage.php' )

Hi there,
I have a number of domain names and they all point to the same IP address. I
would like to redirect to a specific folder, based on the domain name used
to access the site.
For example. www.root.com - points to the main default page.
www.otherroot.com would need to use the default page in a specified folder.
My ISP is not able to help here by allocating new IP addresses to the
subfolders of the main site. Something to do with...

I have to do some programmatic redirects (in several pages) based on URLs I
am given from an external source. The URLs have querystrings at the end,
but one in particular is about 240 chars long, so I need to programmatically
redirect to it. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to do it. There is no
Response.Form or Response.Attributes (Request has Form and Params, but they
are read-only). I've tried using AppendHeader to pass my K/V pairs...

We are getting a behavior on a Response.Redirect("SomeUrl", True) that I'm
hoping someone can explain. This all refers to the code snip at the end. By
the way, this is all VB ASP.NET v1.0 code.
So we have the Page_Load event of an ASPX page fire which in the snip you
see calls "SomeMethod". Also you see in Page_Load two Catch statements. The
first is "SpecialException". We created our own extended exception (inherits

If I have two webforms, form1.aspx and form2.aspx, and I want to do a
Response.Redirect from form1 to form2, I can write
Response.Redirect("form2.aspx")
However, if somebody changes the name of form2, the redirect will no
longer work. I could write
Response.Redirect(GetType(form2).Name + ".aspx")

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to modify an existing piece of Javascript that will enable a
redirect to a page based
on IP address and/or keywords in the referrer; for instance,
redirecting an existing member
to a page that bypasses introductory blurb etc. I've included the code
in an shtml file to allow
server side includes.
I've included the code below, but it doesn't work- it falls over at the

I am having trouble doing a redirect in an async asp.net implemention.
Most of the time it works, but when it doesn't it just "hangs", the browser
never gets any return page. If I run it under the debugger, it works fine,
though every so often I get a HttpException.
System.Web.HttpException was caught
ErrorCode=-2147024809

Hi all,
I am trying to set this up using asp code and IIS configuration. But it
seems not working. Here it is the way I am doing.
In IIS I set up a virtual directory with secure communication, I checked
require secure channel, require 128-bit encryption. In custom error, instead
of using default message
HTTP 403.4 - Forbidden: SSL required
Internet Information Services
in iishelp 403.4htm, I am trying to do redirect automatically.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
