In Internet Explorer 6 I'm having a problem with the httprequest
object. I use it to call a webservice and display the result in the
readystate event handler. This works the first time I call it but
subsequently the readystate event handler function is never called, or
the event itself is never fired.
The same code works fine in Firefox. Changed it around a lot to no
effect Can anyone help?
I'm not supposed to create a new...

Hi all,
I'm working with the XMLHttpRequest object. I receive the following
error message: "Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open"
This occurs in Firefox only. IE works fine.
From my research so far, it seems like this is a security issue related
to the fact that I am trying to access a url on a second server. Both
servers are under my control, however. Is there a way to get around this

Background:
When I create a ASP.NET control (User or custom), it often requires security to be set for certain functionality with the control. For example, a news release user control that is comprised of a DataGrid may have separate permissions for adding, deleting and updating a news item.
Problem
Up until now, I have been implementing security directly inside the control. I will test directly against the security model to see if...

I am trying to make an XMLHttpRequest which violates the default "same-
origin"policy in Firefox. I checked the archives and found a method
that should work but it does not. Below is the test code I isolated. I
set signed.applets.codebase_principal_support true and seemed to get
the UniversalBrowserRead permission but then the open still failed
with the same old "Permission denied to call method
XMLHttpRequest.open" error. Can someone tell...

XMLHttpRequest and AJAX for PHP programmers
James Kassemi
Introduction:
Although the concept isn't entirely new, XMLHttpRequest technology is
implemented on more sites now than ever. Compatibility is no longer an
issue (IE, Mozilla and Opera all support it), and the benefits to
using it are amazing. There are too many PHP programmers avoiding any

OK, I'm pretty sure this cannot work because I'm trying to use JavaScript (client-side) to write to an xml file (which is server-side) using XMLHttpRequest.
Can I use PHP do what I'm trying to do?
Here's my code:
The function mySaveFunction() is called by clicking the "Update" button, after the user changes the data which is populated in the form fields, which was retrieved via XMLHttpRequest from an XML external file.
I know that...

Hi
Does someone know a good tutorial for multiple file upload with
xmlHttpRequest. I am trying to do directory upload. So I could choose
directorys and upload those to the server.
Another solution would be fake multiple file upload. It's takes only
address of directorys and after choosing few address, you could push
send button and PHP would do the rest.

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
