Firefox - accessing urls of tabs

How do I access the urls of tabbed windows currently open in Firfox?
(Or the other tabbed browsers like Opera.)

I know "tab" is not a javascript object, but in pseudo code I'm looking
for something like this:

var myURL = window.tab[1].location

Thanks,

ns

You don't.

To put it bluntly, its none of your business what other websites I have
open, and thats the main reason that the browser manufacturer's do not
allow such things to be possible.

This is like asking to be able to detect the URL of all the browser
windows that a user has open. The next logical step is to be able to
manipulate those windows...

Yes, it'd be real handy in some situations but is way to easy to
abuse so it's unlikely to happen.

One thing that would be nice is the ability to access 'child' tabs in
much the same way as windows opened by the current page can be
accessed. However, I can't see that happening either.

I am trying to create a Java application that reads a list of URLs from a file and stores their contents on the local file system. I have succeeded in accessing normal websites, but I am unable to access the secured websites (using the HTTPS protocol) using this approach. I would greatly appreciate if someone could suggest a way out. I have looked at the HttpsURLConnection class, but unfortunately this class is abstract.

Why doesn't a SELECT element's innerHTML reflected which option was selected? Works in IE. I need this functionality so that I can retain what choices a user made in a tabbed interface. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <script language="javascript">

I'm using a number of hyperlinks on an Intranet I'm developing which refer to documents on a network server. The URLs I'm using have the form: file://<server>/<path>/<file>.pdf <server> is an UNC path, like: \\hostname They work perfectly in IE, but not in Opera or Firefox. I can't see any reason why not - is the form correct? Any other ideas? --

I have a problem with my website: http://www.eecs.tufts.edu/~pgoran01/abet/ I'm using tabbed menus, all of them pop up when you login. However, the interface looks good in firefox but when I open it in IE the background color of the subtab bar seems to stop halfway down and split through the subtab text. I got this CSS tab template somewhere on the web and I can't find it anymore. It seems that the CSS code I'm using it's working fine...

I'm having an odd problem in Firefox 2.0.0.8. You can see the problem on this page: http://sfl.london.on.ca/links_groups.shtml. If you click on any of the three horizontal tabs, nothing happens UNLESS the mouse is right at the very top edge of the tab. You know you're in the right place when the status line at the bottom of the browser shows the address of the link. What would make the link fire from several pixels ABOVE the actual...

Hello, My site prints out URLs in a table. In Chrome and IE8, the URLs look great. In Firefox 3.0.11, the URLs only display up until the second forward slash. So for example, "nytimes.com/pages/world/americas/index.html" is just "nytimes.com/pages" in Firefox. Any ideas why? The code is below. Thanks in advance,

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
