Hello,
How can I determine the number of colors used in an image? I tried to
search on Google but I could figure out. I read the PIL handbook but I
do not see how to do it. Can anyone help?

I have a website that hosts a java chat room nightly. I'd like to have
a graphic on the main page that toggles between 2 images - one
advertising the time of the chat, and another that appears during the
time the chat is actually in session inviting visitors to the web site
to join the chat.
Any idea how I might do this in Javascript to schedule the imgage
substitution using a general meridian time function?

I am using SQL server and ASP to create a webpage and display images
directly from the database. My code is working fine, the issue I am having
is when a photo is not in the database. For example, we have a table of
homes and a table of photos. Not every home has a photo. So when I search
the photo table for a photo that does not exist I want to display a "No
Image Found" gif. Below is my code.

Okay, so here is the situation. I have need to do some on-the-fly image
creation. I have everything working great except for the last part of it,
applying a perspective type transform to the image. The transform will take
a rectangular 2D image and transform it to a 3D representation in 2D.

Hello,
I am writing a gallery script and use imagecreatefromjpeg and fpassthru
to output images without any change to them (i.e., no thumbnail
creation etc. - just deliver the image via the php script). However I
note that the image creation is quite slow - the user can see that the
image is created line-by-line, from top to bottom.
Most likely this speed issue comes from PHP, since PHP is simply slower
than C etc.

Hello,
Having an issue with JavaScript in my ASP.Net page.
I use some COTS, which for all intents and purposes, simply makes a
jpeg file and physically places it in a directory on the web server.
The page load codebehind, makes a connection to the jpeg creation
service and gets the path of the newly created image.
