Auto Save user's work every 15 minutes

Hello!

I have an .aspx web form in an ASP .NET application that I
need to Auto Save every 15 minutes. Could anyone provide examples of
client-side Javascript to count down the 15 minutes?

Thank you for your help!

When loading the page:

setTimeout("myA utoSaveFunction ()", 15 * 60 * 1000); // 15 minutes times 60
seconds times 1000 milliseconds

That will call myAutoSaveFunct ion() after 15 minutes have elapsed.

http://newyork.craigslist.org/eng/34043771.html We need a JavaScript component which will auto-submit a form after a set period has elapsed. The component must display a counter that dynamically shows the minutes and seconds remaining before submission. We have a fairly tight deadline (by 5PM EST, Friday, June 25); we are using a "bounty" in the hope of getting a few good responses in a hurry. BOUNTY: $200 for first place, plus a $50...

Hello experts out there, I would like my Access application automatically closes completely after 30 minutes of "No Activities" so we can save resource. If the user is still scrolling or clicking, the time should be restarted from that time and starts counting for 30 minutes if there is no activities. It has a SQL back-end. Thanks in advance for any suggestions, James

I'm currently using ASP.NET with VS2003 and SQL Server 2003. The ASP.NET app i have made is running on IIS v6 and consists of a number of pages that allow the user to read information from the database into classes, which are used throughout the application. I have made class collections which, upon reading from the DB, create an instance of the class and store the DB values in there temporarily. My problem is that if user1 looks at...

Hi All, I have an ASP.NET application with a session timeout of 20 minutes - for security reasons. I have a web form in this application that I need to Auto Save every 15 minutes (in case the User has left his/her desk or they got distracted and have left the program idle) - what would you recommend as the best solution for this? Thank you, Michelle

I do not have the experience with it. For example, update the data in the ASP form every minute by retrieving data from database. Or do you have other methods? Thank you for any advice and information about it. David

I'm creating a new Windows Forms MDI application... How can I add cause the application to shut itself down after a period of ? I did this in an old COM/VB6 application and I had to have code behind practically all visible UI controls (triggered on the Mouse_Move event) that reset a global variable monitored by a timer. If the global value incremented past a certain point, then a Timer event procedure would cause a dialog to appear....

Is it true that if I split my access database in backend and frontend and I implement custom auto increment for the ID fields, that my database is ready to be used in a multi-user environment? I found a zillion messages about auto increment and read some of them but it's confusing. Can someone point me to a simple custom auto increment example that I can download? Thank you, john

I am trying to automate an excel report so that it automatically posts a SQL query then saves the file every 24 hours. Currently I can do one or the other (post sql or save) but I cannot run both at the same time. So far, I have an ODBC connection between my excel file and my MS SQL database and have the SQL queries refreshing every 1440 minutes. I also have a VB timer set to run every 24 hours to save the workbook every morning. The...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
