image preload & mozilla/firefox

Hello

The javascript preload function I always used, is causing problems with
the latest version of gecko-browsers. Never had any problems with it though.
Maybe there's something wrong?

http://pfastre.no-ip.com/arg/
http://pfastre.no-ip.com/lunatis/
http://pfastre.no-ip.com/gsm/
....

The javascript rollovers do work, but after the page is loaded (and
after the preload images script has finished!), the message 'Waiting for
....' or 'Transferring data from ...' still remains in the statusbar.

If I disable the image preload function, everything is ok. If I preload
only 1 image in this function, it's ok too.
Onyone an idea? I know it's not very dramatic, but I do want to have my
sites perfect.
I found lots of javascript preloaders, but they seem to do things the
same as I do. Maybe it's an incorrect setup of my webserver?

Regards

Peter

This has been reported as a bug in Bugzilla #275784 only recently
(23 Dec 04)

<URL:https://bugzilla.mozill a.org/show_bug.cgi?id =275784>

Maybe you could add your comments and point to your test case to
help out fixing it?

Hello, I hope you can help - I'm a bit new to PHP. My basic problem is with a page (HTML) which is intended to display an image slideshow. On this page there are a number of links to click (one for each slideshow topic) and a "TV screen" to view the results. The images are stored on the server as (big) JPG files - and when they are downloaded for the slideshow, I resize them with a PHP script

okay, the scenario: i have a header image which changes randomly across all pages in the site. that works fine. i also have an image preloader within the random header picker which theoretically loads the header image before the rest of the graphical content on the page. however, what appears to be happening, judging by the status bar messages, is that the banner always loads last. here's the random header code -

A lot of Firefox users I know, says they have problems with validation where the ampersand sign has to be written as & to be valid. I don't have Firefox my self and don't wont to install it only because of this, so I hope some of you gurus can enlighten me with this :) In what circumstances can the "&" in the source code be involuntary changed to "&" by a browser when or other software, when editing and uploading the file to the web...

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to read this. I would be very grateful if you are able to help me solve the two problems below... PROBLEM 1: I spent a lot of time finding code that would play an audio (.wav) file on a mouseover cue that would work in Internet Explorer 6 and FireFox without any user prompt to allow active-x scripts to be run etc, but unfortunately the

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
